Physical Appearance Peacocking

Postby Atlas » Sun Nov 04, 2007 2:29 pm

I know that some people go out of there way to buy clothes or change their appearance to stand out among the crowd. In response to the thread on being a Ginger, I wanted to ask how to react to a positive physical peacock aspect.

I am the definition of the Arian race. I have dirty blonde hair and EXTREMELY blue eyes. Think of the sky as light blue as you've ever seen it and mine are bluer. My high school friends used to call me Hitler's wetdream. lol. Anyway, I get a lot of comments from HB's (AI-approach invitation). Most will come and and be like, "Wow you have the bluest eyes I've ever seen!" or "Your eyes are sooo blue...are the REAL?". If they ask "Are they real", I usually am like "no these are my fake eyes, I just like to switch up the color." Other than that, I haven't come up with anything witty enough to say about myself without sounding arrogant or ending a conversation. "Thanks" or "I know" are the bare minimum that can get me out of the embarrassing self-evaluation state and onto some other topic where I can flirt with them about something other than my eyes. Also, I can't be like "Oh yours are great too" because that sounds too BS.

Don't get me wrong I love my eyes. Before college, a women working for a modeling agency approached me because of my eyes and offered me a TFP (basically a free photoshoot). I guess what I'm asking is if you are complimented on something about you, how do you take the compliment smoothly like a PUA and transition into regular conversation. I'd like to know for my case, when someone comments on my blue eyes, or if a girl comes up and is like I (or my friend) thinks your hott! Both leave me speechless, as I am both flattered and at a loss of words at such an open-ended statement.

Oh yeah, if anyone knows how to take the blue eye compliment without flirting (as when like one of my friends' moms says something) include that too. That's not exactly PUA stuff, just how to avoid the embarrassment from mom compliments lol.

First don't be embarrassed if any one is giving you a compliment, accept it. Any say something like "I thought you would never notice, Thanks."

Why do you feel like you have to be cocky or suave? She JUST opened YOU.

If youre cocky you will end up shooting your own foot and if youre suave you come across as just trying to get in her pants. You can be playful with her, but at least build a little comfort before you start teasing her.

agree and disqualify

Her: you have the bluest eyes I love them.

You: thanks I agree, but you should see them after I go swimming. They look like the before on the clear eyes commercials.

Her: haha well I like them.

You: Thanks, you are a really nice girl, I like that. Let's go sit down over there and discuss how to make my eyes even bluer.

I added rewarding her for the compliment at the end there too. You should always reward girls for doing things you like.

It's supposed to be "cocky and funny" not just cocky. I can't think of anything for you to say but if you make her laugh, you'll be alright.

I think if you get opened with a compliment, it is best to either say "thanks" or "respect" or to DLV slightly. I had one girl say, "I like your chest and shoulders." I just said, "yeah, they're pretty cool, I guess." She laughed. So try that.

Arian brother! I am in the same boat as you with the eyes and the hair; 94% German by heritage ~. I used to just say “Thanks” and move into material, but I switched gears recently. Now if someone compliments me I just put this huge smile on my face and let a couple seconds of silent awkwardness hang then move into material. The kind of smile is important, it has to be “Sorry, I couldn’t hear you over the sound of me being so awesome” smile, but the rest of your face has to say “thanks”. It takes some mirror time and friend input to get it right.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. It is those who know little, and not those who know much, who so positively assert this or that; and that problem will never be solved by science.
