Mystery's new reality series, 'pick up artist' on VH1

Anything goes

Another thing that I like about this show is that it shows not only what to do, but what not to do. For example, when you have a wingman always get your stories straight before entering in a set. Women are not dumb and will pick up any incongruences in your stories.

You are right Matador was not listening to JD. The hb pick that up right away.
However, if JD set was truly strong then the hb would not have continue talking with Pradeep.

Her IOI would have been acknowleging Pradeep and including JD in the conversation with Pradeep.

This was a definite IOD for JD.

Why would he correct Joe on the name of the guy? Joe's routine was derailed at that point. Having his "friend" contradict him was not one of the contingencies he had prepared for.

I haven't met him myself, but I've met people who say from personal experience that Matador tends to deliberately tool students. Not cool. Being near Matador did not help Joe.

Matador did a good job of occupying the obstacles, but he did it right away. He walked right in and put Joe D on an island to make it or break it on his own. He should have entered the set and just been part of the set for a few minutes, paying a lot of attention to what Joe D was saying and helping Joe D be the most interesting guy in the set. Then, after Joe D got some attraction, he should have occupied the obstacles while Joe D isolated.

The only thing I can fault Matador for as a wing was not talking up JD.

... but it was JD's set to make or lose, and he lost it. I get the feeling he was either intimidated by having Mat there, and/or got lazy and felt like he'd have a better shot if Mat did all the talking.

Oops.

I think last night episode was worth watching the whole series for. I like that fact that he gave real world teaching on how to game a hired gun. I like that he said you are gaming the gamer.

I think some one owes me beer. :)

If you have not seen it yet, this weels episode is a definitely a must see episode!

Does any one remember what Mystery taught about gaming hired guns?

Brady is almost there. I picked him on day 1

Stupid me...I have been Tivoing the episodes but went out of town and my Tivo filled up and deleted most of the episodes which I have yet to watch.

Anyone have the episodes downloaded? I am willing to trade some of PUA material I have (which is tons) or take you to lunch/dinner, buy you a drink, whatever.

Who is up for a trade?

all the videos are streamable on becomingapua.com

that fucker cosmo is an actor. once i learned that, the whole show is suspect. i had figured cosmo as a plant from the beginning; either he's got mystery and crew fooled, or he's a plant. doesn't mean he'll win, but it really hurts the credibility of the show a great deal. and the whole no actors or people unaware of hidden cameras in the clubs is false, as obviously mystery's pivots have been in there numerous times

nevertheless still a great show.

Hey London.

I'm not sure you can definitively say that Kosmo was a plant. People are basing this on his agency page (I assume):

http://www.sceneinteractive.com/talents/ALVARO

He is clearly listed as non-SAG so any acting experience in California can't have been as a principal. In fact his page doesn't list any experience at all. Since the VH1 show was filmed in Texas (presumably for a reason) it may well have been a non-union shoot and the actors might have agreed to a buyout.

I'm not saying its one way or the other but he could be legit. Maybe he just got an agent after the show and wants to break into the biz.
