I’ve met a natural. He’s a totally charming guy, but he doesn’t have a job and lives wherever he can. He’s a homeless pothead and I’ve seen him out game men driving BMWs. Here’s an example of his technique.

He’ll be involved in a conversation with me. When there’s a lull, he turns to whatever woman is near and asks; “so, what do you do?” That is his first trick. He games women that have put themselves in range. In other words, they want to be opened.

“I’m a student,” she said. This answer could be anything. It doesn’t matter.

“Cool! But, I mean what do you do that brings you joy?” I’ve heard him ask this a dozen times and I’ve yet to hear a chick with an answer. She’ll just sit there with a dumb look on her face. Instantly he’s put her in an uncomfortable place. She now looks like she has no fun or passion in her life. She MUST qualify herself.

Next, he’ll ask, “Do you write?”

“Yes.”

“But, it’s for school. Right? Do you keep a journal?”

“No.”

“Do you read? I mean like for pleasure.” She looks at her shoes. She’s starting to feel like shit now and he hasn’t said anything even remotely insulting! At this point, they start getting a little defensive.

She’ll ask, “Well, what do you do?” He’s ready for this. In fact, it is what he’s been waiting for.

“I live, I play guitar, I write poetry and songs, I used to ride my bike until it was stolen (at this point they always look sad and say Awww) and I talk to strangers. I was a rebel from the start. My mom told me not to talk to strangers, but here I am!”

If she still can’t come up with something he turns his back and talks to me again. Later, he'll give her another chance to qualify.

I’m going to keep watching him and I’ll report what I see.
