The time on the server is an hour off. possibly due to daylight savings time?

The time is correct on my computer. This must be a problem local to your computer.

I am pretty sure this would be related to the server and the software running on the server (phpbb). The time zone set in my "profile" in PHPBB is -6 GMT which is central time. The time stamps on all posts/threads are off an hour. Not the time on my local machine.

I noticed the same thing a while back. I think the message board software doesn't account for Daylight Saving Time, so in the summer you have to set your time zone (in your profile settings) to GMT-5, and in the winter, set it to GMT-6.

GMT does not change with daylight time. Central Daylight Time is GMT-5, and Central Standard Time is GMT-6. Unfortunately there is no "Central Time" setting that changes automatically, so I think you've got to do it yourself.

Thanks Vector. Thats sounds like what the problem is. I now recall months ago the timing seemed outta wack. Now it seems fine though after the time change.
