This is true. Suriving is more of an evolutionary advantage than fucking. For humans anway. Especially as a man. I have much more chance of continuing my genetic code by surviving to fuck more women another day. This is why humans have such strong desire for surviving.

This is not the case with spiders, where the male allows himself to be eaten by the female in order to increase the chances of the survival of his offspring. Except in this case, where the male eats the female.

There's always a survival risk inherent to sex, although usually it's a small one (for males, at least). People are often willing to risk life to have sex, but rarely willing to knowlingly give it.
