Xbox 360 modding

I remember an older post where a few of us talked about video games we dug and suggested a few games to each other. I am not the most adament gamer or video game player, but have recently re-discovered my xbox 360. I had my drive flashed (altered the firmware on the disc drive) recently and it has turned out to be one of the coolest things I have ever done. Now I can download and burn games onto regular dvds. The proccess of formatting, stealth patching and burning games is pretty difficult and when I was researching this I was kinda on my own figuring it out. So if anyone is interested I can show you how to do this. I get this strange feeling of satisfaction knowing that I am stealing from microsoft.

I soft-modded my Wii, and boot my games off an external hard drive. Just download and copy to drive. Can play burned DVDs too, but why bother? Tons of other fun stuff you can do w/ a rooted Wii.

I know you said it's a "strange feeling," so maybe you don't know the answer to this, but why is it more satisfying to steal from Microsoft?

maybe I just feel like I'm pulling a fast one on them or getting away with something. idk, it's just kinda fun to not pay for xbox games

Ok. I was just curious. I hear a lot of anti-Microsoft sentiment, and I don't really understand. I think they're a pretty good company.

Microsoft stock has been good to me, so I have no complaints. Bought at 18$ in early 09 and it has been solid I like Cisco Systems stock too, especially since they are starting a dividend next quarter. They took a hit for poor guidance, but I think they are one of the most conservatively managed tech companies there is. As far as the anti MS sentiment, well that has ebbed a great deal, since the early part of last decade, but yeah, it is still there, and will probably never completely go away.

I used to have a rooted 360 and I loved it.. Gave it to my brother though.. Thinking about getting a black Wii.
