Written 119 Days ago on my phone. Just came across it.

It's not very common that I go to cafe express on a Sunday or this late in the afternoon. The sun is just starting to set behind the building with remnants of rays still cascading my legs. The attitude of the city feels different than the typical weekday lunch time. The city folk walking by are embracing this mood as their own.

There is a mix of people who walk by. Far and away the rarest are the tourists. They hop on and off the trolley as though it were a stunning roller coaster at six flags. They snap pictures of and in front of the trolley. I wonder why that would be worthy of a keepsake picture but I then remind myself I live in downtown.

The next subset and almost as rare are the older couples. They stride down the sidewalks with their nonchalant attitudes. They walk with little purpose accepting there is little more for them to soak up in this world.

Once in a while I will see some business people pounding the pavement heading to a meeting or presentation. In their power suits walking with their head held high it is apparent they are doing their best to conquer the world. I can't help to think about what my life would be life if I had joined the corporate world all those years back. Would that be me with the Armani suit and Gordon Gecko demeanor?

The most common scalawag I see walking these streets are the late twenty something and early thirties crowd. They walk with a true sense of entitlement and don't fuck with me attitude. I wager most are ambitious and do well for their age. One could just watch the cars drive by and deduct money flows easily in these parts. Just now 3 Ferraris drove by in succession, wait make that four with drivers who I doubt are over 35 and maybe not even over 30. They were all convertibles and one was driven by a ridiculous smoking hot girl.

If you have any avidity in this life sitting here watching these people and the cars drive by can do nothing but give you a little extra drive to succeed.

As I was eating my dinner and sipping my tea I was paying less attention to the environment in front of me. As I looked up a dime piece was strolling by. I look towards her and refuse to turn my head. She glances away and in my fictional delight she cracked a tiny smile. I then muttered the words I would shit myself if that was my girlfriend.

It's not uncommon to see 8's-10's walking by on a regular basis. In fact I would say it would be rare not to see several.

After I muttered those words to myself I got upset. Not because I didn't have that girl. I was mad because I actually thought it was impossible to get a girl like that. There may be no greater harm one can do to themselves than have these limiting beliefs.

If you could, and you should, remove these limiting beliefs from your thought process what might become possible? Most likely you will break through the level of girl you are currently getting and bask in the pleasure of a higher quality girl. Most likely upon approach you will have an air of confidence about you. Most likely you will be perceived as higher value. Most likely you will be given an audition. Most likely you will be on the pedestal. Most likely...... Do I need to continue?

This is not the first time I've read this, and it still holds true as much today as when I first read it.

Having limiting beliefs prevents you from shootng for the stars and you will always sell youreself short.
