You profile is pretty dang good Bull Run. I laughed.

I think you should change it up a bit and I will give my reasoning.

First paragraph you end with: "I AM a man of adventure."

I think you should remove that statement. Now I have not studied this in any sort of detail however I believe your paragraph already says this. I can't find a reason why you should make the same statement twice.

In the third paragraph you describe the perfect meal. "Liver and onions is the perfect meal."

I think most people would find this statement disgusting. The ring it gives off just makes me want to puke. I think you should remove this statement. I can't find the benefit it gives the readers therefore it should be axed.

In the third paragraph you also talk about working out. I think that is a great thing to have in your profile. However I think the last part of it should be dropped. "Plus anyways, if I don’t work out I’ll get old and fat and ugly faster. Not good."

Being humble is one thing however this is just spinning your post very negative. I think removing this would clean it up a little and end on the positive note of working out is great for you and that is why I do it.

In the fourth paragraph you talk about being sick. Yes, we all get sick, however it isn't something you want to be portrayed as. It just comes across wrong. So I think you should remove "When I’m sick, I refer to myself in the third person." Once again I just don't see any benefit with saying this.

Alright take what I wrote with a grain of salt. Maybe you had your reasoning...I am certain you had your reasoning for everything you included in your profile. This is just a second set of eyes modding it to the way I think makes it look and read better.

Hard-working, independent, ambitious, intelligent, open-minded, energetic (HYPER to be exact), talkative would be some adjectives often used in reference to my person. I have some major vices, too many to even attempt to list them here. A few strengths too, so somehow it all evens out (or so I like to believe). What else about me? I would describe myself as relatively normal, easy to get along with, optimistic goofball. I love summer, beach, sweets, hot showers, sleeping in, laughing (especially at myself)...I get along well with people who are not afraid to laugh at themselves...Not a big fan of people who constantly complain about their lives but refuse to do anything about it...What's the point?

Re: RE: (none)

Why are you sure I'd remember? Do you have a club foot or a really screeching type voice?

As far as my behavior goes, I rarely leave lee harveys completely coherent and there have been a few occasions recently where I ended up on stage singing along to "good hearted woman" with the band.

At the risk of sounding cliche - "so where are you from?"

No screeching voice, but I still have a German accent. Texas hasn't robbed me of that yet...

Re: RE: Re: RE: (none)

I wouldn't go that far as to say party animal. I'm just comfortable letting loose at certain places. Why'd you end up here? I have. German buddy that moved here to marry a girl he knew for a few weeks. I don't think that's your story though.

Do you have a Facebook? I'm not a fan of logging into match to reply to emails.

P.S. I'm much more likely to remember a smart girl with an accent than one with a big chest. Unless you meant eyes or legs and in that case I'm thoroughly embarrassed. ;)

Hi, how are you? That must be a hell of a job to pull you across the pond, how do you like it? Had you been to the U.S. before you packed your bags?

p.s. I'll have more witty banter soon, but for now must stay aloof to garner your curiosity

Aloof? Shouldn't you be mysterious instead? LOL Hmm...plus anyways, curiosity killed the cat and this kitten plans to keep purring :P

Well I read MOST of your profile, I liked your attitude (in written word). If you can be spicy all the time you'll get a high five from me!

Witty fail?

Interesting combo
Good afternoon! How are you? So you grew up in Europe and chose UT for school? Let me guess, it's now been 7 yrs and you just took your rigorous citizen exam? I hear that most Americans couldn't pass it? Am I way off base and in need of a digression?

Anyway, you seem interesting and I hope you want to chat. Please take a look and let me know.

Have a nice day!

I'm from Munich, Germany originally. I was a foreign exchange student in high school, in Austin and fell in love with America and the city so I stayed!!! I miss living there just about every day, but I needed a job and found a great one so here I am!!!

In some ways, I think I'm more American than natural born citizens. Seems to me being American is more of a mentality than it is a nationality. LOL that's probably too deep to get into right now tho ;)

RE:

Cool story! I haven't been to Germany. Almost all my ancestry is Southern/Eastern German/Prussian. I grew up being told I was Polish. That was before I dug deeper and learned about Prussia. I was supposed to go to Munich for Oktoberfest last month but the plans fell through. I was pretty bummed out. I have been to Vienna, Budapest and Moscow though. That was a cool trip!

That is deep but quite thought-provoking. I like that! I am going to ponder on that one for awhile especially in light of the political season which I am deeply involved in. I would submit that America is a make-up of many cultures comprised of states and regions. No wonder DC is so dysfunctional. It's akin to the EU that has so many varied interests trying to manage as one.

Yes it is with 2 s's. My parents wanted to nickname me with that for some reason. Where in Dallas are you living? I am in Uptown and enjoy being able to walk most places when not working.

Having any fun with Match so far?

Match is overwhelming. LOL I don't think I'm going to stay on here much longer, just too many awful responses...

I live in Deep Ellum, I absolutely loathe Uptown (or Yup town as I call it). The only reason I ever go there is to people watch. The thing about Dallas that I find unsettling is that everyone here tries to be someone else. I never understood the term $30K millionaire until I came here...oh how much do I miss Austin!!!

I highly recommend that you make it to Oktoberfest in Munich next year...can't be beat!!!! LOL

RE: RE:

Good afternoon! Well send me your email before you go. You don't want to walk away empty-handed :). I have heard from friends that it can be overwhelming. Sometimes I just can't be proud of my gender. What's the worst note you have gotten?

Deep Ellum makes sense since it's the closest thing to Austin that Dallas has. I used to let the crappy stuff of Uptown get to me but then I realized most people are nice people. It's just the losers stand out. Just don't let them get to you. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants and fun people to check out. If all else fails, mock the losers. Most of us enjoy that.

I do want to make it to Munich, but I don't want to go solo. One day I will make it. Here is my email if you want it

I am only sending this to you because I think you're a really good, nice guy. But, after thinking about things over the weekend I realize what Match is missing. Assertiveness. The men on here are simply not assertive in the right way. Instead, they tend to be insecure and are aggressive in a pathetic, desperate sort of way.

Thank you very much for your email, but I am going to have to politely decline. I hope you find what you're looking for.

No worries. I appreciate the note though. It's more than 99% of women in this town would consider doing. I am glad I can be pathetically aggressive and desperate ;) Good luck to you too. If I see you out, I will say hi.
cheers
chriss

Jesus, what a fag. She cuts him off at the knees, in a nice way of course, and he proceeds to thank her for the note, validate her, compliment her, agree with her statement that he is aggressive and desperate, wishes her luck, and then to top it off he's still say hi if he saw her out. After her email, the only recourse is basically to do nothing. No coming back from being called pathetic and desperate...you certainly don't agree with her statement. This fucker spent the entire time complying with her reality and she came off a little bitchy...what a fucking chode.

The responses are fascinating, yet frightening.

Frightening because I see the guys responses and i would have probably respnded similarly to what some of the guys wrote...

I don't know if you considered this, BR, but I would be curious to see emails and responses from guys for a profile with a bunch of attractive pictures, very little written in the profile, like two or three sentences, and very short responses to emails. I wonder how the average guy handles that. I'm curious to know if any guys handle it well at all.

maybe it's just me, but does anyone else think that it is a bit obvious that this chick is fake? And maybe that is why only chumps replied?

Looking at the pics, they are all photoshoot-esqe, like they where all for a model shoot or something. They are too perfectly staged.

I think it would be more believable if you had pics of chicks out with friends, partying, and just doing random shit, instead of all the pics being taken perfectly. Shit, maybe even a pic in the bathroom mirror (typical myspace cliché) or something.

I would say creep myspace or facebook and find chicks profiles that are not set to private, then steal their pics. They will more than likely have more "organic" pictures, that seem more natural. It just seems like a lot of chicks wouldn't ONLY put up photoshoot pics.

If you need help finding pics, let me know.

There are fake profiles with amateur photos too. I don't think you can tell just from the pictures. I think guys will assume it's not fake because she responded with an email and referenced the email she received. Most fake accounts are on free accounts, so they can send winks and emails but they can't see your email. BR obviously paid for the account so he can read the emails, and I thank him for making that sacrifice so we can learn from them.

However, I bailed on match for this reason. There are so many fake profiles. Just today I got an email from a really hot, very thin blonde who's 13 years younger than I am. Her pictures were not professional (they were provocative though). First she winked at me, and when I didn't bite she sent me the following email:
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that you looks like a very amazing man! I hope that you are having an excellent day!
If you're interested, I would love to hear you!
My e-mail *f o r e i g n . n a m e* (a t) y a h o o . c o m
Write me.

That's the main problem with match: it's the biggest, so that's where people set up fake profiles. I wonder how many of the "women" on there are on free accounts. They wink, but they can't see your emails. That's ultimately how you can tell. They use broken English, they don't respond to anything you write (because they can't see it), and they include an email address in their message. There must be some money to be made there somehow, because it's rampant.

This was a real girl's profile from Chicago.

It's not uncommon for there to be a lot of model photos in profiles. The new profile I have up has more organic pictures. I suspect the responses will be lower though. We'll see....
