Grimm put it well when he said that it was just easier all around in Ft Worth. The guys typically have the same demeanor as the women, and you're a natural/assertive kind of guy...immediate threat to the manhood. Dallasites are dicks all around, so they can handle it a bit better.

Nah, I ended up camping in my truck till about .12 or so. Ask Bull Run, I am quite the safe driver in fact. I got like 30 min of sleep last night, but made it to dallas like a pro.

Friday Night - Sherlocks and Logans
Overall, I would catagorize tonight as boring. Was out with Justus, Lion, Prodigy, Bull Run, Playercool, and a new dude who was pretty cool. All in all, nothing remarkable happened. I nearly slept a couple times, understandable given the night before. Playercool went home around 11. Prodigy went home at like 11.30. It was that kind of night. Snore. I called it a night at 1, finally some sleep.
There were no hot girls at all. I did not get drunk. (0.13)
I did open some sets. They were boring and uninteresting. They didn't open well. On the other hand, all the girls were sub par so who gives a fuck.
Boring boring boring. I guess we need these nights to contrast w the interesting ones, and make them seem more... Interesting.

I did promise to post the bad as well as the good sets, so here they are. It's too bad that damn video camera doesn't work right, once I figure that out I won't need to post text anymore, only commentary. Man, I was tired last night, and that's my excuse for running such absolutely shitty sets.
Here's what I remember:
Set 1 - Outdoor 2 set, standing on patio. One HB 8, one HB 6.
Grimm: Hey what are you guys talking about over here? You're all smiling. ("Hey what are you guys talking about" is a safe opener and I love to use it. The reason is that no matter what their answer is, it gives me something to work with. On the other hand, it's a boring opener and generates no attraction on its own.)
Target and other girl eye code each other, no answer for a long time (these are not cool girls, most likely they are geeks)...then finally
Target: Uhhhh, we're talking about boring stuff
Grimm: Boring stuff? (falling asleep)
(Talk I don't remember. I do remember at some point I told them they look like sisters. This NEVER works for me. I don't know why, but for some reason this offends girls. Which is really strange, because like a year or two ago, I used to tell girls this and it wasn't so bad. But now, that line alone is enough to nearly get me blown out, inexplicably.)
(I switch to "Do you come here often", interview style questions, so the inevitable happens...
Blow out.)
Set 2 - Seated 2 set, HB8's, Logans
Grimm: I thought I'd come flirt with you guys for a bit (I love this opener. It's my current favorite on seated sets. It's confident as hell, like a direct opener, and yet it doesn't give away the farm quite like a direct opener would.)
Girls: "What?" (It was loud as fuck. I make the mistake of repeating my opener. Now, if you want to sound confident, NEVER repeat your opener...then it becomes a line. The reason it seems confident is because it's on the fly.)
One girl keeps on her cell phone, uninterested. The other girl tries to engage me, but the uninterested friend pulls her away. They must have sensed that the sharks were in the water. They had just been opened by another couple guys, and apparently those guys insulted them after being blown out because one girl was really pissed off.
It was too loud to hear anything as well.
Set 3 - Sherlocks one HB7 and 2 or 3 ugs standing in the loud area by the stage
I talk to the HB7 only, it's too loud to engage the group. I give her lots of compliments on her eyes and shit, I figure because she's a loser I need to build her up a little bit. We talk for a bit, the PUA in the back of my head is like "Hey grimm, you better talk to her friends or they're gonna pull her away", so I try but they can't hear anything. Plus they look all pissed off, probably because I was talking to their "hot" friend (it's all relative folks) for the last few minutes ignoring them.
Her ug friends try to get her attention, she is eyeing them and still talking to me, I can see I'm losing her. I switch to gay AFC fishing "what is there to do here in dallas," type questions, and get blown out.
Hope tonight is better.

Sat 8/22 - Tree and a few random places around Deep Ellum
First time in Deep Ellum in a couple years, BR and I hit it up. We all have types, and this is not my type of girl - I am not in to the tattoo, piercing, funky type and I won't do smokers.
Those girls scare me and my pretty uptown self. They make me think of heroin and AIDS.
Bull Run, on the other hand, I think was a kid in a candy store for part of the time, that's his type. There was a hot girl in a tutu at one place that really blew his skirt up.
I hit 0.15 max alcohol. This is turning in to an AA blog more than a pickup blog, as I have no sets to report. (By AA I mean Alcoholics Anonymous)

This is one girl that I will not soon forget. You forget the blow outs, but remember the non-starts.
