Grimm, don't get discouraged. Gunslinger made many valid points and offered good advice. I suggest you keep at it and use this as motivation to get even better...
I ask you this, what makes you more upset; opening, number closing but unable to set up a day 2? Or, if you never opened the sets at all?

Anyway, I know you don't mean any of that. Here's something I noticed watching the latest video. You seem really relaxed for the most part, but there was something not quite right. Then I realized what it was. You were saying the word "like" a lot. It's probably something you don't notice unless someone points it out to you.
I appreciate you posting these for the rest of us to learn from your interactions as well as yourself.

Well, Shantelle texted me today out of the blue. I'm such a little bitch sometime.
In response to my text actually. She's just toying with me a bit I think. All she wrote was
"I'm back. I left austin this morning."
To which I answered: I'm in Ohio working. I get back tomorrow and would love to take you to XYZ on Sunday.
And she never answered. Maybe she will answer tomorrow lol. Whatever.
So I was thinking about this. I think I am only really dead in the water with Ashli. And that's because I already had a date set up with her, and then I flaked on her. I probably have crossed the line from which there is no return.
With Sonya, I think her non-answer is just a shit test - which I failed by getting all pissed - but she'll never know this. I bet I could get her out.
All in all, just think of it this way. If I get just one of those three out, that puts me at 33% since starting this journal. And that would make me three times as good of a PUA as Playercool at his best, see?
But it does concern me how rattled I got. I mean, granted, I had a shitty day aside from that, but either way... it shouldn't be that easy to shake my confidence. I obviously have to work on that.

This is the interesting conundrum about all this stuff. In order to be really good you have to not care about the outcome of your endevers, but lets be honest most of looked into this in the first place because we do care about the outcome and want to improve our results. Most of us have a specific outcome in mind and the fact that we don't reach it every time makes us feel like a failure. It is really hard for me to keep in mind that this skill set can only improve my chances. Our good or ideal result is dependant on someone else's opinion even if we do everything right. It's good that your confidence gets a little rattled sometimes because it means you still care and aren't a mindless, soul-less pickup machine. I'm right there with ya brother. Playing up to your potential makes you wonder why you can't do it ever single time.

You can still be outcome-oriented WITHOUT being outcome-dependent; i.e. the outcome is to get laid but if you don't, you're still fine.
Grimm, I agree with others and wait for your stats to get more significant (at least for the girls you've written about) - if you hit 10 - 20 numbers and still get half a reply, then that's something to work on.
Btw, what camera are you using? Filming some of my sets would be awesome.

As far as being outcome independent... I respect your opinions, and I agree and disagree at the same time. On the one hand, yeah, I shouldn't let success or failure in the realm of pickup define what I think of myself as a person. I'm totally on board with that.
On the other hand, to say that failure shouldn't piss you off is wrong I think. I can see your point of view, but from my perspective, I look around and I see a lot of people just lack passion. You have to give a fuck about something to be great. You have to put your heart in to it.
Did Michael Jordan have passion when he played basketball?
Besides, being "emotional" and passionate is a huge asset when it comes to relating to women, and frankly, being good in bed. Next time you're fucking a girl put your lips up to her ear (pick any ear) and growl like a beast. She'll go wild.

This is the same for me. When I do approach, I can normally get a number close, but I tend to approach one or two.. wait a few weeks... wash and repeat.. However, pickup is a numbers game and you have to approach often to be successful. I think I still have some AA that is causing this to be a sticking point for me. Forced interaction vs. Natural interaction really. I'm all set to approach with low energy if a girl naturally crosses my path during the course of my meandering life. It's the forced interaction of night game, walking up, completely cold approaches that are hardest for me.
In order to push myself to do this, I give 20-50-100$ to my wing and if I dont approach at least (X) many sets during a night sarge they get to keep the money. The more money, the more sets. I've done 6 sets in a night this way. That motivates the hell out of me.

It is human for us to fail and be pissed off. However, I think the deal here is not showing it to our targets. The alpha male never shows he is pissed off about a girl because the alpha male always has other options.
