So you mean to say that I had no valid points at all? come on guys, I don't believe I've disrespected you at all, please don't disrespect me. It's pretty fucking obvious where I was coming from.
Maybe I'm the weird person who believes that arguments should be from the position of mutual respect. I have my points, you have yours.
you disagree with me, fine but at least understand where I'm coming from.
don't give me the whole "YOU'RE COMPLETELY WRONG IT'S ALL YOUR PROBLEM GET OVER IT" when there is validity to my side of the argument. I wouldn't do that to you, don't do it to me.
But, Muk, that's exactly the problem. You're the one that had a problem with the post. You're the one that claimed racism. Maybe your life experiences molded you to think of things like this as racist. If that's the case, then you need to short circuit that thinking (just the way that you're trying to short circuit the way you act with and think about women). Plenty of people had life experiences that resulted in them doing fucked up shit...just because a man was raped by his father doesn't mean that we should empathize with him when he goes out a rapes someone's child. Is it tragic that he was raped? Yes. Is it tragic that he then raped another? Absolutely. But, HE MADE THE CHOICE to perpetate wrong-headed thinking.
Interesting story about me. I grew up poor. Only later in my teenage years did my mom pull us out of poverty. I have an older sister. She and I both had regular IQ tests and she's just as smart as I am. But, she allowed her environment (poverty breeds poverty) to change her perceptions and views of the world. My mom taught us right and wrong, but my sister allowed her experiences to short circuit those teachings. So, my sister dropped out of high school, started popping out kids, scammed money off everyone she could, and got on the government dole. She didn't really work, she just wanted something for nothing. I, on the other hand, got an education, bettered my lot in life, worked my tail off, and have a nice standard of living.
My point is this: her past experiences resulted in her becoming what she is today. She is just as capable as I am, but she makes a decision, every single day, to continue to be this person. Sure, it may not be her fault that she was dealt a raw deal, but it is her fault that she continues to live this way. I'm not going to waste my time understanding people's past experiences because they're nothing but excuses...you choose who you are and what you believe.
This is why I have zero issues with simply saying that you're wrong and should re-evalute your perceptions. I have no need to understand someone else when they are just straight up wrong.
