I thought about getting a Lotus Elise, because you can get one used for around $20-25k. The problem is it just screams "mid-life crisis." But if you're younger, that's not a concern. Yea, it's a pretty sweet car, but I doubt it'll be good as an all purpose daily driver...

I think I read in a post that you were a bit older, so in your case, that would be true. With me being 25, I think it would have a positive effect.

This is hilarious. While car searching I found them too. VERY nice car. The problem is the maintenance. Even though it has a toyota engine (pimp) apparently changing the oil takes an act of good and is going to cost at a minimum ( or premium ) 300+. The design of the frame also requires that the vehicle has to be taken in for EVERY bolt to be tightened at every 7-10K miles? Then lastly it's a carbon fiber body and accident means the car basically gets totaled.

Well, I'm going to be looking ALL day Saturday. I can't say that I'm exceptionally thrilled about the process.

But, I got 10K to put towards the car ( value of mine totaled ). So, it could be worse!!
