Moving from Chicago

Hey!

I'm Mystic. I'm moving up to Dallas for a job opportunity. I'm from Chicago and moved down to Austin about 6 months ago to live with my girlfriend once I lost my job in Chicago. Austin is great but it's not Chicago, though I love 6th Street. I was in the Chicago Lair. Now I'm looking to get back into the Game and to meet some friends.

Do you guys have regular meetups? When and where?

Dallas seems pretty spread out. People have told me to live Uptown, as its the most like Chicago. What area is popular amongst you guys? Is there any place like 6th Street here? My job is up north off 75, but I have a car. I'd like something a little urban and city like.

First of all, welcome to the boards!

I actually met up with some guys from the Chicago lair when I was up there last summer for 2 weeks. I have the memory of a lab rat, so I don't remember who...heh.

Right now, I'm unable to set up regular meetups, but we ARE working that out :)

The closest thing to 6th you'll get in DFW is Lower Greenville. Most of the guys I know from here frequent Addison (where I live) and Uptown.

How long have you been a part of the community? What would you say your level is?

One of my best friends is in Chicago. He used to go by Sweet Sting, but now he goes by Yngwie, I think. Maybe you've met him.

I used to live in uptown, and loved it. A lot of stuff down there is walkable, and some of the best bars are down that way.

I live in Milwaukee nowadays, and am joining the Chicago Lair. A few of us are starting a Milwaukee Lair as well. What did you think of the Chicago Lair?

I guess I'm NOT joining the Chicago lair after all, I just got an email saying my registration was rejected. I guess that's because I'm such an asshole. If anybody knows someone at that lair who can help me straighten this out, would I be much obliged.

There is nothing really in the DFW that closely resembles 6th street. As mentioned above, the closest thing is lower Greenville, but I have never been a huge fan of the bars there.

Where you want to sarge really depends on your taste of women.

Uptown has an interesting mix of people. You have the typical Yuppie, trust fund baby and normal people who flock to uptown to be surronded by money and beautiful people.

Uptown, no doubt, has the most beautiful women in dallas. As such, they can be pretty difficult to game. Some would say they are stuck up, bitchy, snotty, etc. It's how much shit you want to put up with. Most of the guys I know prefer sarging in uptown.

Some places to check out in uptown: any venue on mckinney ave, social house, Lemmon bar, quarter bar

The Addison circuit can be fun as well. Generally speaking, the girls are less attractive and easier to game. Many people on this board would say that they're more laid back, fun, and interesting. I cannot say for sure as I have had limited success in Addison.

You might want to check out venues in downtown and Lakewood. I'm not too familiar with those areas, but a few guys here can prob help you out...
