No doubt dude, no doubt. And, I think I may have bought a shot or two for the first SNL I pulled from Uptown (which was actually my first SNL). So, you don't have to spend tons of dough to get a girl, even if she's an Uptown Girl.

As for having your cake and eating it too, I believe you absolutely can do so. As with all generalizations, they exist for a reason. In general, they are true right?

Well, in general, Addison is full of swamp rats. There is no debating this at all. On the other hand, Uptown is full of stuck up little bitches digging around for gold.

So, to write-off one over the other would be absolutely wrong. However, to prefer one over the other is something altogether different.

To say that there are absolutely no hot chicks in Addison is completely wrong. On the other hand, to say that every Uptown chick is a snob is wrong as well. The reality is that, in general, Addison chicks are cooler and more laid-back but generally less attractive. The opposite holds true for Uptown (in general, they're hotter but less laid-back). So, it's a matter of what route you want to take. Do you want to spend time filtering through pretty faces, dealing with snobs to find that rare cool Uptown girl? Or, do you want to filter through swamp rats, dealing with cool people to find that rare hot Addison girl? I, personally, would rather deal with and engage cool people regardless of how they look. It's just more fun and fulfilling for me as a person. The opposite may be true for you.

Remember that night we all dressed up as Douchebags and hit Social House? That taught me a valuable lesson, which may or may not have been discovered by others. Certainly, there were several girls that approached us and asked what we were all about. And, I found that several of the girls thought it was hilarious. But, I would contend that that demographic was smaller than maybe we might think. I would argue that there were many, many more people that thought we were stupid and childish, which we were, but refused to acknowledge that we were just joking because we weren't one of 'them.'

I ventured off from the group a handful of times, which turned out to be a HUGE mistake. These people didn't even stop to think that we were joking and playing around and the reason is simple: they wanted to believe that we were being sincere so they could tear us down. In the world of 'I'm better than you,' that's exactly what is done.

I showed my Uptown co-workers pics from that night to see what they thought and they all thought it was stupid. Yet, they rent party buses, dress up like pimps and hos, and then go bar hopping. That's not stupid and childish but only because it's their clique doing so. That's how these people operate, they haven't changed the clique mentality they developed in high school. God forbid you be different in any way from them (which is another thing I'll get to).

We've all done similar things to Douchebag Night in Addison and were always greeted with enthusiasm and energy from the vast majority of the people there. They didn't pass judgment because they knew it was a fucking joke.

Finally, has any one ever noticed that girls in Uptown dress exactly alike? I'm serious. It's like they have zero creativity to what they're wearing. If it's on the mannequin at Bebe, Barney's, Nordstrom, or [insert any other popular brand/store at the time] then that's what these girls throw on. Sure, the stuff is cool and all, but it's fucking boring.

Those of you that know my LTR, you know that sometimes she tends to wear creative clothes. This is one of the things that I absolutely love about her as a person. She takes common clothes and turns them into unique outfits. But, every fucking time we go to Uptown I constantly hear the Uptown Girls talking shit about her. And mocking her because she looks different. Seriously, these people just need to get over themselves and understand that their shit stinks too...

My assertion is that finding a cool, hot chick is fucking hard as hell. But, I think you can do it, just as effectively, using different methods. You can go to where the hot chicks are and filter through them. Or you can go to where the cooler people frequent and filter through them. Either way, I contend that your odds of success are pretty much the same.

I'm not saying Addison, or any place, has no value. It does. I've been there more than anywhere. I am just personally done with it - maybe I'm just done with it because I'm so fucking sick of going there.

Sounds good. Just got a quick question here, is there a specific night that is good to go, or just any friday or saturday. I have been to deep ellum a few times (not to those venues) and have noticed the streets are quite dead.
