A lost canadien...

Postby Guest » Mon Aug 24, 2009 10:22 am

Bonjour!

I bring greetings from the icey tundras of Canada! I am in Texas trying to get into graduate school and like many have just as of recently discovered this online community. I have to admit I lurked for a little bit to see what exactly you fellas were about. I am pleasantly surprised by the level of humanity and general lack of masagony that I thought would be prevelant in such a forum of this nature. Just a little bit about myself, I am CONSIDERABLY out of shape and that has cost me to lose the majority of the little self confidence I used to have. I know I put that confidence somewhere around here...oh it's underneath these delicious cheese enchiladas mmmmm...enchiladas, oh sorry where was I? Nevertheless I'm ready to change and start being a better me physically and socially. I only hope that my passion for reading, cooking and eating can be translated into the Kafka like transformation that I have imagined for myself. A transformation that can only take place with this communities help. Well, Kafka like in terms of magnitude, not actually turning into a giant fucking bug cause lets be honest it would probably be pretty hard to find a mesh shirt with six arm holes. Really? Mesh shrits? Really? Anyways I have already started working out and eating better and now I need to focus on being a better man and be true to my "real" self e.g. Bull Run's posts, good shit brother! Hope to see you guys around! I'll stop talking now. LOL! Does anybody even read these intros?

Not really :)

Please tell me you one at least one Neko Chan doll... That would so make my day for some odd reason.

Welcome! Which grad school/s are you considering?

Welcome Frenchy...

I'm curious, what part of Canada are you coming from? I used to work for a company that acquired mobile home parks in Canada so I'm somewhat familiar with the country (save for BC, Manitoba, Quebec, and all that weird shit in the far north). I suspect you're from Quebec though...

I see that you've already begun your transformation. I encourage you to stay hungry and keep the path. I've been where you are and it sucks...it took a lot of work and a lot of time but I've turned things around and you know what? It was worth every single bit of work to get here. I'm not sure if you read my 'Man of Value' post (yes, I'm whoring myself out here), but if you haven't, I encourage you to read it...if you've read it, re-read it:

Again, welcome, even if you are from America's Hat ;)
