Captain Obvious here yet again, and today I'm here to inform you that this forum has been quite inactive as of late.
To attempt to spur conversation, I'd like to tell you where I am in life and love and ask that you do the same!
So, where to begin?? Well...the thing that takes up my time the most is work. I once had three jobs but one was bought out and I was let go...so now I have two. I've been busting my ass doing extra time here and there to make up for the income lost...I've grown quite accustomed to my lifestyle : ) It's a pain, but I'd rather bust my ass now so I won't have to when I'm old. Plus, my work is moving offices...from Arlington to Downtown Dallas. They are gonna let me work from home as I can, but I'm gonna have to suck it up and move to Dallas before too long. Anyone need a room mate? : )
As far as game and my love life go, I have three girls that will most likely never pan out to anything that I occasionally go do dinner with and then hook up with. I find all three situations boring, but haven't found the will to go out and get a new girl (or two.) Unfortunately, the time may come when I have to suck it up and saddle back up...as the encounters are becoming less and less infrequent...plus one is 19 and I just feel bad. hah. The girl I am still very interested in that I dated a few months ago is still in the picture, but we can never ever make our schedules work for more than a day or two a month. I live in Ft. Worth, she's in Dallas. I work days, she works evenings. blah blah blah...all the excuses you can think of. That issue probably roots in the lack of "want" for anything right now. It'll play out, though.
I see a number of you on a regular basis. We get together, drink, tell jokes, and just have an overall good time. I can say, though, I only know what two or three of you are up to these days. Maybe I should stop down from the jokes and shenanigans and ask personal questions?! Fill me in here! Surely there are some of you out there in need of advice on something, have something to brag about, or just the uncanny ability to ramble with your fingers as I am doing now.
I'll be running the meet up this Friday. I'll know where we are doing it by Wednesday. I'd like for a lot of you to show up...let's do it big like we used to! Get at least one big summer get together! Roll in to a place as one, and blow the windows out with social proof. If we happen to have the meet up in Fort Worth this week, I'd really appreciate the Dallas people making the drive as a personal favor to ME. Not only do I want a break from driving all that way to see you guys, there are places new to the Downtown area that I think you'd all like. It's not a frequent thing...you can do it. I'd be even more shock and awe'd if some of you hermits came out (TopDog, PC, etc.) : )

well first and foremost, i would say i'm' definitely happy with where im at in life right now, but of course i always want to be better....
having said that, i have begun studying for my GMAT and am trying really hard to find the motivation to study but its tough to focus. my goal is to get 700+, but i'd be happy with a 650. with that type of score, my GPA and being a part of Beta Gamma Sigma, i have many options of where i can pursue my MBA. my goal is to go to UT, TCU or SMU to obtain my graduate degree, but id settle for UTA or UTD...
work. work has been good. im thankful i have a career and am currently employed making ok money. i dont necessarily love my job, but i enjoy working with my team and it pays the bills. i will probably not stay here forever as i have aspirations to make much more money in the future. i am actively working towards that with the first step being my MBA(see above). what can i say? work is work. it is what it is.
love, ah l'amour. this is an everlasting battle. i have always been the relationship type of guy, but its a constant struggle; to be a playboy or be in a loving relationship...knowing myself, i know i can be a great pickup artist, but im not sure if i really want to be such a "player." ultimately, i would love to be in a relationship and just be happy; until then, i am just living life. currently, i am seeing two girls, both of which i can see myself in a relationship with, but have not dated them long enough to want "more." or maybe its because i still have feelings for my ex, sadly, that is probably the truth. i still think of my ex every now and then, and it can really have a negative effect on me. i have taken the necessary steps to really move on with my life, but honestly, if i saw her out with another guy, itd bother me, very much so. call me a bitch, homo, softie, whatever... im definitely moving forward. it just takes time...
pick-up. lately its been interesting. i go out but dont do much (not that i really have in the past). though the times that i have tried, i do well. maybe i should try on a more frequent basis? maybe so. i question how much i truly want it. i see where im at and always want to get better, but im not really putting in the work to get to the next level. maybe its because im busy with work, studying, life. maybe its because i am content with where im at in the game. maybe its becuase im dating two girls. maybe its because im lazy. i think i need to get some things accomplished in my life before i can refocus all my energy on the game (i will continue to go out, i was talking more about reading material, etc) i still have the urge to go out, but im not sure if the urge is to go out and pick up women, or hang out with the boys. either way, its a premise for a fun and interesting night...!!
the lair has been in a funk lately, and we definitely need to get the boys together and have a little pow wow. grimm, just/us, alphamo and i had some good conversations at quarter bar this past weekend and had a blast. which for most of the night, NONE of us approached anyone or anything (props to alphamo for a # close in under 3 mins...awesome job man!).
im hanging out with one of the girls friday night, and will try to make it out to the meetup for a few drinks. keep me posted smirks...

Hey, help me out, brother. So if someone asks "How are you doing, lately?" and things are going really shittily, do you tell them? or lie and say things are FANTASTIC?
I mean , you really look like you're a crybaby, or like a victim. It might bring down the mood...

Good to hear that you are always moving in a positive direction smirks. I am currently in Jerusalem wont be back in the US for another couple of weeks. Been traveling a lot lately. Ready to come back and get back to work, which has improved by leaps and bounds as of late. I have been dating a girl for the last month, which kinda sucks because women for some reason really want to fuck here. Im guessing it will end when I leave. Dont really talk to anyone from dallas anymore as I dont have a sales team there anymore. Still talk to and hangout with fenix when I can. Been teaching some classes while here to pass the time and make some cash. Life is good...

Well gents, here's where I am now.
Women aren't what I use to think of them as...
Lately, I've sort of embraced the concept that I just need all that noise. Frankly, I wonder if they're really worth the effort.
Grimm once said something that has stuck with me. Think of a triangle, at each point you've got Health, Wealth, and Love.
I've spent a lot of time and energy on the Love part...too much in fact. So, I'm going to be working on my Health and then Wealth aspects.
I still want to party with you guys...so, Smirks, I make a small request:
Can you put this together for Friday? I've not plans on Saturday night.

Ive to admit, Ive been more of a lurker on this forum, joined the lair in December '08 and just have 150 posts to my name. Reasons for this could be the fact that Im not quite as articulate as BR or Finesse or PP to name a few or I don't have much knowledge to share with regards to Pickup or I feel my inputs would be laughed at or maybe Im just too lazy to type idk. But I do check all the new posts, read your answers to the questions/FRs posted, cause it helps all of us and not just the person asking them. And yes the Lair has been kinda dead lately, mainly cause of ppl like me I guess lol. But props to Smirks for making every effort for keeping it alive.
So coming back to the topic...Where are you at??...when I first read the heading I thought it was more of a 'Where is Afterlife right now' kinda thread lol...but this is infact a good topic which makes you wanna stop for a sec and think bout where your at and where your headed...so heres my triangle...
Work: My day job as a programmer is going fine nothing special happening there, only concern is, come November-December, I might have to move to a different state for a new project so kinda bummed bout it as I would have to start again from square one...Now the interesting thing thats happening right now is Photography...it started right here on this forum. Couple of months back there was this [link=hyperlink url]www.dallaslair.org/p/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?30392.0#post_30396[/link] post bout the PUA lifestyle, where Howie spoke bout his Racecar thing, and I replied saying I too would like to seriously follow my passions. So one thing led to another and I now run a decent website, shoot for nightlifesupplements with my buddies Matrix and El Fenix. The nightlife photography is all pro bono for now, hoping to score a regular paid gig soon. But I did make some money from a shoot through one of my nightlife contacts. Wanna get into portrait photography next, so need models ;)...
Love: This is the only part of my life that sucks right now...since my LTR ended like a year back, Ive always been unlucky in this section...thats why I turned to PU in the first place :)...but since I started being joe photog, I've had some good opportunities, but screwed it up due to lack of game. Good thing is I've atleast starting #closing but they havent really converted to day 2s. So Im not sure wats going on, they seem really into me the night of the #close, but when I text them the day after, Im just the photographer guy from last night...I havent been spending time on PU stuff since I started reading up on photography so need to get back to basics.

So yeah thats pretty much it....
