Religion or philosophy is a personal journey. If you're at all serious about it (meaning you want to understand and believe, not simply parrot what others say), then all the choices must be your own, for your own reasons. Nobody else can walk the walk for you. Nor can they really help you. It's between you and God.
And pickup does not conflict with religious values or any other values because pickup does not prescribe values. Pickup is in some sense like physical laws of cause and effect. If you do action A, you are more likely to have result B. What you choose to do with that information depends entirely on how you feel about result B and action A. "If you treat girls like dirt, they will stick to you like dirt." Assuming it's true, the question of whether you should want them to stick to you is an entirely different matter, and even if you did, would it be worth treating them like dirt? Maybe, maybe not. The statement doesn't tell you what you should want. ONLY YOU can decide that.
