Trib,
If you read any significant number of my posts, you'll know and understand that I am a champion of YOU. I believe that we all have the answers to the questions for which we're trying to solve. Everything in life is a personal journey. Pickup is no different.
Scolding isn't the right word and, to be honest, I expected a little more from you on this one. Guys that don't have strong self-esteem and a strong frame will read this and *think* that it is a lecture, will *think* that I'm scolding people. In reality, it's not even close. It's more of a "I KNOW you're better than this, so why don't you act your worth" type of speech (btw, I'm not trying to imply that you have a weak frame or low self-esteem, not that you really care about that disclaimer anyway ;).
Instead, what I'm saying is that I see a lot of whoa is me, I've been hurt before, I have AA, I don't know what to do, I just need to see someone in action, how do I be me, etc, etc, etc bullshit on this site from these guys that are waiting for the 'old timers' to grab them by the hand and teach them the secrets we've learned.
Well, guess what? It doesn't work that way. I can't teach you, or show you how to be the best you possible. All I can do is tell you that in order to find that 'you' YOU have to do the work. I can give guidance, advice, and help along the way...but YOU have all the answers. This means that YOU have to do ALL the work.
For all the noobs out there, you have a wealth of information at your finger tips. Not only that, but you have a very willing and open group of guys from which to draw upon and learn from our experience. But, that only gets you so far. Just because I read 'Roots' does that mean I can tell you what it's like to be a slave? No. YOU have to experience this for yourself, YOU have to do the work, and when YOU do YOU'LL thrive in the light of success.
