My car broke down. Not a big deal but I am broke so it is taking time to get it all fixed. Because of the breakdown, price of gas and my health, I have been walking more. I walk to the local pizza place for lunch, to the corner gas station for the occasional soda, and so on.
What I haven't been doing is sarging. Not a big surprise. I will find any excuse to not go out and this one is ready made. I live in East Plano, I can't easily get to Addison, down town, Uptown etc. This has to stop! I have to stop looking at my limitations and start looking at my assets. That is why I have come up with...

This is the challenge. Find sarging locations within 5 miles of home. In walking distance. This includes but is not limited to, bars, coffee shops, night clubs, restaurants, bowling alleys, and book stores. Go out to at least one of these places every day available. This can be done during the day or in the evening. Do not spend more than $5 each day, less is better. If at all possible, walk, don't drive. Spend at lest 2 hours at the target location sarging.

What to wear
The weather
What you can bring with you
coordinating with a wing
what you will be walking through
logistics of a successful on foot pick up
What do you guys think of the idea? I am doing this and if anyone wants to join me, either as a wing or just doing the project in your own area I want to know about it.

Neighborhood bars are hit or miss.
But, you do find A LOT of regulars AND they're usually much easier to close.
A buddy of mine from the Austin Society typically run game in local, neighborhood bars. Like I said, it's hit or miss but when you have something to swing at it's like taking candy from a baby. Seriously, it's that easy.

I've done it with him as well. You really have to run really, really good social game. And you cannot be afraid to open mixed sets since that's the most common type of set, worth approaching, at a local dive.
Also, you should go a little earlier than normal. It's not at all uncommon for people to meet at a local dive at 8 or 9 and then go hit the hot spots. You get your cheap drink on, have a central place close to meet, and you all go together. It makes sense if you think about it.
I've got a couple of really cool Lakewood bars down the street from my place that I hit up relatively frequently, err used to hit up relatively frequently. It was a lot of fun. Be prepared to bounce around a lot though, which might be difficult in your situation. If you run Dive Game, which is what I like to call it, you've got at least a quarter of the foot traffic at more popular venues which requires you to hit up 5 - 6 times more venues than you normally would.
Also, you need to keep in mind that the people in these places tend to be much, much less pretentious than normal Dallasites that you might run into at BF or Uptown. As such, you need to be ultra calibrated. Negs don't work early in the interaction. They do work, but later in the interaction. Be prepared to have crazy, interesting things to talk about as well. The content is much more important in these places for a lot of reasons:
1) There are no distractions. As such, they are going to actually THINK about what you said. Note that non-verbal communication is still ultra important.
2) They can actually hear you. Typically, the noise level is very low.
3) You will more than likely be approaching GROUPS, and as such you will have more people analyzing you. Everyone has to be somewhat interested.
The great thing about Dive Game is that your competition is literally nil. You will be unique and will more than likely stick out. Be careful not to confuse the looks you get as interest, instead they're sizing you up. Also, you are typically within 5 minutes of your respective places...if you do hook, logistics for SNLs are a lot easier. A LOT easier.
The bad thing is that your sets are limited and you can't create interactions as much as you would else where. What I mean by this is that sometimes the logistics really, really suck. Sometimes the mixed groups are all together, i.e. girl friends and boy friends. And your target size is much, much lower. Quality can be an issue, but it depends on where you're sarging. Certain parts of town have much better quality than others. Worlds different in some cases.
If you find a quality, viable target in a neighborhood bar, closing her should be really easy.
