#1 Learn to love your work and commit to success
-pay the price to be the best

#2 Decide EXACTLY what you want in life
-Less than %5 of people truly decide what they want
-write it down, and think about it daily

#3 Back goals with determination and will
-put 100% into your goals
-maintain persestance in the face of setbacks
-you can tell where you will be in the future by how you deal with setbacks
-circumstances dont make the man, but reveal the man

#4 Commit to lifelong learning
-read books, listen to cd's, go to seminars
-if we dont keep learning, we start to lose what we already have
-the incompetent person tomorrow, is the person who stopped learning today

#5 Use your time wisely
-Ask: what is the most valuable use of my time right now?

#6 Follow the leaders
-look at the people who are the best, and get around them
-ask them what books they read, and what advice they have to give
-Dr David McClelland of Harvard found that if you associate with a reference group that is not success oriented, that will kill much of the chance you have of success.

#7 Guard your integrity
-Be true to yourself and your own goals
-work hard, get things done, THEN feel great about yourself
-only 2% of people can work without supervision: they cant handle the freedom
-think of yourself as a genius, and act accordingly
-Everyone has the ability to perform at genius levels in something: Find Yours!
-What holds us back is the belief that we are only average
-Treat everyone like they are the most important person in the world, because to that person, THEY ARE
-Follow the golden rule


Airplane Example: 2 Choices
#1 Full throttle to take off, and to get to a cruising altitude, then relax a little. Cant maintain the full throttle forever, but it's essential to get off the ground.

OR:
#2 Cruising level on take off. Will never get off the ground.

*We can work hard at the beginning until you get off the ground, or you can semi work....forever.
