I didn't post this for advice on whether I not I should end it, I just wanted to know how to do it in the least shitty way possible if I decided to....because I have practically no experience doing it.

BTW thanks for all the responses I appreciate them.

Least shitty in what sense? There's a difference between breaking up in a way that makes her not think that "you're an ass" (like you're saying in the original post)

...vs ending it in a way that is the least hurtful to her.

Here's the scoop my friend. I'm NOT gonna teach you how to do the first one, because it's cruel.

The second, I think you're more worried than need be. If as you say you've only dated this girl for a month (that is a short time in girl-world), chances are she will get over it faster than you give her credit for.

Women are (to grossly generalize) emotionally EXPRESSIVE, but also very emotionally intelligent and centered (or is it just flaky/ADD-ness? who knows...) , and they have great support systems of family and girlfriends and gay guys. so a lot of guys tend to confuse expression of emotion vs actual depth and impact of said emotion (if that makes any sense.) She'll cry, all that, but chances are she'll be just fine in no time unless either A.) she is a psycho stalker B.) you've promised her a bunch of shit that you're now going back on - in which case you're a dick and you deserve the guilt.

But assuming this is a normal situation, I will spell it out - social rules say that one month is not long, and you don't OWE her anything.

Once again - sort your own feelings out and decide what you want to do, as I said before. If you want to break up, be honest about it and thank goodness she has girl friends to go cry to.

If you want to not hurt her, I would also add that the longer you wait, the more painful it could potentially be for her.

Remember, you're not doing her ANY favor by staying with her if you really don't want to be together. You didn't come on here to ask for advice whether to break up, and don't take it as such (I don't know your situation), but it's something to keep in mind. Figure out what you want and act on it.

Good luck bro!

Honestly, the fact that you asked how to end it means that you're thinking about ending it which leads me to believe that you want to end it...

If you have doubts, cut her loose. Eventually they'll be too loud to ignore...

Haha.. Now that you are not asking for advice. Let me give you my opinion.

I asked this same question on an online dating site.

Most women (if not ALL) said they want Honesty... it is going to Hurt, anyway you do it and you will still be the Jerk... the Honest way is most sought after by all women who answered.
