Postby Guest » Fri Jun 27, 2008 3:39 am

Ok so tonight at cowboys i was SOOOO off!!
i would approach and BAM nothing would happen for me.

i had so many girls just make excuses to walk off
WHYYYYYY?!?!?! this has NEVER happened to me before. REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!!

I dont know, maybe it was how i dressed?
The only thing wrong with that is, looks never really mattered(or at least thats what i have been taught)

i dont know but i couldnt get into my flow and that pissed me off.

how do yall get out of this rutt?!?!?!?

Stop thinking of the outcome...you were probably in your own head about what was going on and not focusing on the way you presented yourself (body lang, smile, tonality, etc) and also probably let the few failures make the situation worse.

Perk up, everyone has bad nights. It will be better next time!

what was your mindset as you were approaching?

i think everyone is going to say -- to get out of the rut, just keep going :)

Looks matter to an extent.

Of course these are exact polar opposites, but you should look your best before leaving the house all the time.

That really wasn't the issue though since, and I am just speculating here, you probably have worn that outfit before in the past and had success.

You simply just had an off night.

I've had nights like that. One about 2 months ago where I was not in the best mood and then got blown out a couple times. I couldn't shrug it off for the rest of the night and no sets stuck. I learned from that night though and I can easily shrug off sets that don't stick. Just treat it as practice

I was wearing a baby blue hollister shirt over a button up. It was really bright but i got alot of people saying i looked pretty gay.(should have used the gay line)
plus it seemed like i looked REALLY young that night. I could see the girls i was talking to look for my x's of shame.

Yeah it is frustrating. But you have to reframe the experience inside your own head.
I use something I call "Because I'm Awesome" (TM). And now everyone is gonna be using it.

Because I'm Awesome! (TM) is a way to reframe things.

So let's say you approach a girl and she turns her back before you get done with the opener...You just tell yourself "She turned her back because I'm awesome."
If something happens at work, you tell yourself "They need me because I'm Awesome.".
If a kid walks by and punches you in the nuts....its because you're awesome.

If get good at this, your whole mindset will begin to flip. You'll be treating bad nights like they're just ok. The worst thing to do when you've had a bad night is to beat yourself up.

Like my favorite minister, Joel Osteen says "God has bigger plans for you...don't sit back and have a pity party."

Bad nights suck. For sure. But you don't need to experience pain. In fact, its better if you're just neutral about this stuff so you can analyze your approaches and improve your system.

If you haven't seen Captain Jack's video on YouTube, then I encourage you to watch those.

Just remember, you do whatever Because You're Awesome!

I gamed a chick on saturday night in dallas who just turned around and left, I once again felt good about it because I was actively pursuing it, and not making excuses. I closed one up the next day.

Shit happens

lol...that happened to me several years ago, when i was learning/trying canned material/routine stuff early after discovering community. she just turned around and left. Only time it's ever happened.

I still cringe when i think about it. From that moment on, I dropped use of all canned material and that whole section of the community.certainly could have been my delivery. don't want to throw out the baby w/ the bathwater. but it sure isn't for me.

but anyways rutt's happen, you just got dig deep.

Or find yourself a slump-buster girl. ;)
