I for one would like to know what the issue is here. There's quite a large cone of possiblities here, so I'm not going to speculate as to what has happened, but I do feel that ET, Sinn, and CJ likely have some valuable insights, and that DPUA would benfit from inviting them to come speak.

I would like our board to consier such an event. It is important that the degree to which their workshops are pushed our members is limited--i.e. we're not setting up an infomercial, but nonetheless it should be benificial for them as well, as some members will sign up--just like with the Juggler event.

However, if for whatever reason this is not possible, can we look into having a speaker--perhaps one from our own lair, at some of the meetings? We have quite a pool of talent here, and I believe it would be benifical to other members to share this, sort of like how Vector & Deuce did at the Juggler meeting.

A good quality product just like a person should draw people in on its own accord. It should not need to be pushed on people. People should want to buy it because of its quality and their own want for it. Therefore I really don't give a shit whether they want to come speak and make it a total infomercial that will show the the low value of their product, and anyone here is smart enough to see through that bullshit. We should let anyone who wants to come speak do it, and then judge them based upon the value they gave us as to whether they get to speak again at a later date.

I agree with the above. Let's see what they have to offer and then decide based on our own wants, desires, and needs.

Sometime people get to far in the playing psychological gobbly gook aspect of this game. It is important that we throw out this bullshit and just be genuine. Be real. Be honest. Don?t think we have to play these games to get what we want. Just be you.

Here is the story how things happened.

I did receive the following message to ?whom it may concern? though they never asked me directly.
To whom it may concern:

Although I am not a member of Dallas Pua, I am a Mystery Method Instructor, and sarge out of DFW.
As you may know, Sinn has moved to the DFW area making it a very flavorful spot to be right now.
The 3 of us wanted to start meeting everybody in the local lairs.
So if you would know how to set that up, we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks

They did not want to acknowledge me so they used ?to whom it may concern?. I do not like to play games. So instead of replying I asked Vector to send my contact information to Captain Jack, El Topo copied, with the message that I was open to talking about having them here. I received no response. I could never understand why they insisted on these games.

A few weeks later we sent another message inviting Sin to speak. No response.

If asking someone to be genuine and show integrity is too high of a standard, then I am guilty. Some gurus do not like this lair cause they are not able to easily exploit you guys to sell their high dollar workshops; that is the reason, not politics.

El Topo, I hope you forgo you preconceived notions of me. I hope one day that we may sit down, chill, and have a drink as friends.

~ Mojo

P.S. I had asked Twitchy a few months ago to ask Captain Jack and Sin to talk about speaking to the guys. And?. *drumb roll* no response.

Let?s stop this bullshit. El Topo, lets go out and let me buy you a beer :)
Thanks for letting us know, Mojo.
Sure thing. I wish there was none of this bullshit.
Me too. But I should point out that this community has been kept free of the commercialzation (HOLY FUCK I CANT SPELL), that seems to plague other 'lairs'. It seems many 'lairs' pimp out their memebers to gurus that give kickbacks to the lair admin. That is certianly not the case with DPUA e.g. the free Juggler seat was given away. I supect the exec board doesn't feel the need to allow the "PUA training companies" pedel their often over priced products to us.
I want to have talented PUAs speak to the group. We will have many more in the future. It is great to have these guys speak and provide free seats for you guys. The purpose of the Dallas PUA Society is to serve you, the members, not as a marketing extension for for-profit pu businesses.
I believe that Capt Jack and Sinn did approach Mojo about doing a lair talk a while back and were turned down.
They were not turned down. They turned me down :(

Go for it!

All you gotta do is this:

1. Get a group of guys.
2. Get a room.
3. Tell which ever one of them is most receptive that you want to meet and talk shop for 3 hours.

If I know El Topo, he'll do it. He's their latest posterboy and he's a saavy businessman.
Money talks.

$300 / 30 guys is only $10 per person! And you might have $100 for the speaker.

Its kind a like field of dreams, if you set it up, they will come.

Sitting around bitching and hoping something will happen is not the way. You gotta make it happen!
