I do security of a TV show that is currently filming around Dallas. Today I'm at a studio. Most days I work here are slow. Not many people come in. But, today is a little different. It seems they are doing some auditions or something.
So anyway, this morning I'm in pretty high demand to open locked doors and such. One of the people needing into offices is a very attractive women in her mid 30s. She comes and gets me three different times to open doors for her. She's one of the show producers.
Usually I don't sarge on the job. I like my job and would hate to lose it because someone gets bent about me flirting. But, the third time this woman needed me I accused her of just trying to get my attention. But, I did it in a playful, slightly self deprecating sort of way. She reacted with a big smile, a laugh and kinoing me on the arm.
I simply didn't know what to do. On the one hand I just got an IOI from an attractive (and wealthy) woman and on the other if I say the wrong thing it could cost me my job.
I find myself in this kind of situation often on this gig. There are so many HB10s coming and going and I'm dying to open them. But, it's not professional behavior. I have to maintain a certain face because I am representing my company. I have to walk a very fine line.
Does anyone have any advice?
BTW don't shit where you eat is likely what I need to hear.
