Hired Guns

I have heard of tactics used for hired guns, but I can't ever really find anything posted about it. So what are some things that you guys do to game on bartenders or service industry people?

One, is if you are at a strip club or nightclub you go to the bar, ask the bartender what the DJ's favorite drink is, and then serve it to the DJ and talk to him a bit. This establishes some social proof. Or go and speak to the manager, and act like you know the manager really well to establish social proof. You are right there isn't a lot of hired gun routines written about. One I know is the facebook routine. This is one of my favorites and it is from Style. Here is how it goes.

"Hey, I need to get your opinion on something. I was at Hooters the other day taking my friend out for his birthday. We are having fun, and the waitress knew why we were there and it seemed obvious that I would be paying for the bill as a birthday gift to my friend. The waitress is spending the whole time flirting with me, ignoring my friend, and even asked for my phone number. I thought 'this girl must think I am weak or something and not realizing that she is acting this way to get a high tip.' So, I pay the bill with my credit card. The next morning I wake up and check my facebook account, and see this really gorgreous girl request me to be her facebook friend. I was like 'why does this girl look so familiar?' I didn't know the name at all. Then I look at her profile and realize it is the waitress at Hooters, that she actually copied my name from the credit card. Is that a little creepy, or should I talk to her? By the way don't tell me you don't take cash (in a joking manner).
