Style change

Postby Vicious » Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:43 pm

i want a fashion overall for myself, and i have NO idea where to start.

thing is i want to dress up in multiple styles, not be constricted to one. i wanna be trendy hipster one weekend, preppy the next, gangstalicious the next...... and of course i need some peacocking that goes with all those styles. i want people to be AWED by my fashion sense, ive gone my entire life without being stylish pretty much. advice? what magazines, websites, or people should i be looking at and talking to?

I have a few different styles I rotate through. What you need to do is figure out a few different styles you're comfortable in. If you think you can go from Hefner-playboy to "gangstalicious" as you put it, then go for it.

A few things to start with are color coordination and checking out different jean/pant styles and cuts. After that I'd take a serious look at shoes. Women notice them more than you'd think.

I wouldn't focus so much on "peacocking" in the sense that you read in Mystery Method. Simple "peacocking" can work for you early on, though. Examples being a scarf. Stylish, fits since it's fucking cold outside, and the easiest lock-in prop I've worked with.

If you need more advice, feel free to ask specific questions. Without knowing your current style, and what you look like, it's hard to give much fashion advice.

Heres what I recommend and what I've done.

Find pictures of famous people you think you could relate to.

Then just go shopping for what you like..

The purpose really is to set and know where you want to be and get ideas. Not be someone different just get ideas and like the style.
