Periodical purges of registered users

You guys might notice that the number of registered users shown at the bottom occassionally decreases. We do periodical purges of the database to delete unactive or invalid users.

I doubt you needed to add that wiki link. Anyone who doesn't already know who she is has probably been in persistent vegetative state for the past few years. :P

Terri Schivo was a woman that was in a vegatative state for a long as time. She was brain dead (moreso than the typical woman, anyway) and her husband wanted to pull the plug (likely because she just wasn't as fun in bed anymore). Her family challanged his efforts to carry out her wishes in court and lost.

I had forgotten about that. But I remeber now.

I think it was speculated that he wanted her to die so that he could legally get married to his girlfriend.

But just by the name alone I wouldn't have remebered anything about it. Any more then I'd remember the name of the lady camped out in front of Bush's house.

Not that I'm worried about being mistaken for "inactive" but how long does someone have to be inactive to be deleted? Like 6 months of never logging in?
