the chat room is never used. perhaps this is because no one wants to talk; but i believe it is directly related to the fact that the cache is never cleared. chatting should be akin to instant pm-ing and you can view every1 present in the room...when i leave a he chat i dont want my conversation permently stenographed. its food for lurkers. i hate lurkers. is there a way to edit that app or perhaps replace it with something more accomadating?

I haven't been able to find a way for it to show no old material when someone joins. But I am contemplating making it lounge-only. Would that be enough?

Im curious...what makes you so hesitant to use it as is? Are you going to try to cyber members of this forum? I can't think what you'd say in there that you'd be so ashamed to have show up (possibly) in the short chat history???
