[blockquote]You should break up every single post(Topic) into it's own page. This will help pretty much more than anything. Your site will have 1,000 or 2,000 or however many pages. Google will eventually index all of these pages.[/blockquote]

I would be happy to do this (even though only a portion of the forum is viewable by google) but I am wondering, 1. does this really help, and more importantly, how would I actually go about doing that? Do I need url rewrite stuff, and if so can someone sorta walk me through it?

I just asked my brother about this again a few days ago. He swears by it and I have seen the results of his other websites that he works on.

It will take google a couple months to spider the site depending on how popular it is but over time it will definitely help.

He said he could do it pretty easily but he would need access to I think the control panel? If you don't want to give that out I will ask him if he can just offer some advice on how you can do it yourself. Not sure how easy it is.

I'd rather not give control panel access unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm becoming somewhat familiar with url rewriting with htaccess, mapping dallaslair.org to www.dallaslair.org.

I think a similar thing could work for forum_viewtopic and forum_viewforum. I would probably have to also locate and edit the php that creates the internal links, but that may not be so bad either.

I'll take a look on the e107 forum too and see if people have done this before.
