how about listing who is in the chat room. I see where the people who are currently on the web site is listed. Maybe if we could see if anyone is in the chat room it might get used more.

I think maybe if we had a set time for everyone to be in there, that might be cool. We could have like, a night where we all meet there to go over plans, or field reports, or even somewhat have some virtual classes. I dunno, we could kick around a couple possibilities.

I have a feeling if a ton of people were in the room you would just see text flying off the screen. Not sure how useful it could get. Just like when 10 of us meet whoever has the biggest most outgoing personality is heard.

But hey schedule it up one night and see who joins. You don't know how it will work until you try sir.

I'm not finding a module for listing who's in chat at the moment. The problem with chats and this community currently is that no one bothers to use them. We've had IRC for about a year and the only people who use it are myself, Vector, Finesse, PicturePerfect and occasionally Skald. I even had a handy dandy no brainer walk through posted a long time ago of how to install an irc client, and how to connect...and no one ever came.

I don't blame you though, I only chat in there after 11pm while at work...and the others are basically the same way. We are a community of (supposedly) busy people. Its natural for it to be difficult for us to get together.

let us take it upon ourselves to post intended / available chat times under this thread. by doing so regularly we can find what works for us and perhaps develop a niche from there. apparently i am the only late late nighter, but i would be willing to accomodate more feasible times for compromise.

I am open for chat almost anytime really. If any guys want to discuss any girl related or life related topics just PM and I will chat either in the chat room or Yahoo or AIM or ICQ

thanks for checking into that smirks......I realized that if you leave the chat open and have your speakers on - it makes a sound when some writes something....so sometimes I open it and minimize it while I'm doing other things ....you just have to remeber to have your speakers on
