Email delivery and spam...

Hey guys, lately we've been having some trouble with email delivery, because some of the announcements have been mistaken for spam. Technically speaking, it does violate the CAN-SPAM act, but more importantly there is no convenient way to unsubscribe, which means people who do not want to receive the messages might simply click the "This is Spam" button if they are using a mail service that supports it. This causes delivery problems for the people who do want to receive it.

This has been affecting not only the broadcast emails but also the Topic Reply notification and PM notifications.

The old mechanism of simply sending the announcement to "all users" is not going to be a sustainable mechanism, so I'm experimenting with a new way of sending out the emails.
