Working for a cable company in a headend before I became a software engineer for Cisco, I had to do this. I never did a 1700 footer. I did a 1242 foot tower though. SCARY SCARY! I only made 56K at that point in my career. I had gold plated medical, disability, and raspberry jam insurance.
