I got scammed by a sales associate... even after I said, I don't trust them.

ME: "I learned not to trust cops, salesmen, lawyers, american doctors, politicians, mechanics, and other "I call the price" professions.

These damn sales people always up sell everything. American doctors are fucked up. Period. I'm not even going into American doctors discussion. Politicians are cock suckas. Mechanics man.... This is an extreme example.... hear this one. I've read an article bout this woman who obviously has zero knowledge at tech. Her TV stopped working so she calls mechanic. Mechanic seem pretty busy trying to fix the TV. TV works and woman is happy except about the labor cost. Later on, she finds out all he did was play with antenna for a bit. LOL

It's just a human nature. I guess you can't really blame them for being corrupted. More power you have, more you want to use it for your own good. I actually know of a professor in Austin who was a victim of Bush administration's conspiracy. I find out his contact info if you want to find out more bout it."

I wrote that above statement under other thread recently. I'm a little annoyed by the issue with sales associate at Lifetime Fitness. That's why I said you shouldn't trust sales people. Here's my story:

I signed up at Lifetime fitness for 65 bucks/ month around July 2008. It was little more than I wanted to pay, but it was better than what I paid for 3 month over the summer few years back. I paid $300+ for 3 month membership while I was still in college. When I came back to town back then, they did not have any decent gyms in town other than this one. They had YMCA, but that building was about to crumble down.

Well I went to the club with no issues. I was the guy who would go in and do his own work outs then leave quietly. I had good relationship with personal trainers and other members. In December 2008, I went to club to cancel my membership because of my financial hardship. This sales associate asked me why I was canceling. I told him I couldn't afford extra 65 bucks a month. He said, "how much you've been paying and how long have you been a member?" I just told him 65 bucks and been a member for a bit. He then says, "wow it's a bit more than i thought." (basically these guys up sell everything) He then says, "well we got this college program.... that lets college students pay 40 bucks a month instead of other rates." I then thought it was a good deal so I agreed to just go with discounted price.

He does his writing on paper then tells me to sign it. I see the 39.95 on the column and signed it without reading thoroughly because I trusted him. This is where I made a mistake. He did not tell me anything about additional fee costs for doing that and other involved fees lol.
I get this statement today on my credit card says Life time fitness took out $86.99/ month. I am thinking WTF? I call the HQ to see what's up. Customer associate says that is strange. She looks up then says that I was charged because of "downgrade fee." I am thinking... What? I did college program... not downgrade... She says that downgrade fee was about 40 bucks and 40 bucks was for the membership. Ok, it's a good deal in long run, but I was pissed about the fact that this guy used a dirty trick. He NEVER mentioned anything about the fee that came with discounting the monthly fee. I went to the gym to talk. I found the guy I talked to back in December. I said, "hey what's up man. do you remember me?" I followed him to the customer service desk. He asked me, "Your account is shared with other member right?" I said, "nah, my account is single. I am the only one to use it." He said, "are you serious?" I then asked him why I was not informed about the additional fee that comes with college program. It really wasn't a discount. I told him I didn't get to see the information on paper. They bring their ultimate weapon...

"here, read this." At this point, I'm thinking... fuck! I fell into victim on sales associate scam. I called him out saying why he didn't tell me. IF he told me there was 40 dollar additional fee, I wouldn't have been here disputing the charge nor was I not expecting it. He tries to bull shit his way saying that he DID inform me. He grabs paper puts on my face and asked me "IS THIS UR SIGNATURE? HUH? MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T SIGN PAPER WITHOUT READING IT." Well dude... when i signed, u took the paper right out of my hand and put it in the record cabinet without giving me a copy. I actually didn't go to the gym to cancel my account... However he goes on and says that he doesn't care what I do. (basically saying that if I cancel membership, he would careless blah blah). I straight up told him that it was my fault and mistake that I did not read the paper thoroughly and told him I would pay, BUT I told him that he did not tell me anything about the hidden fee. Now I'm pissed not because of overcharge. I am pissed because of this bitch ass's customer service. WTF man You guys only nice to customers when they pay you money and talk about some BS? You guys just change when I came here to ask why I was charged more than usual. Is this how you treat your customer man? Why 2 faces? lol Well at this point, this fucker walks away without solving the problem. I had to deal with the underling.

All of sudden, a lady asks me, "excuse me? are you a customer here?"
I said, "yes."
she says, "OMG is this how they treat customers here?"
I said, "well apparently yeah, they overcharged me and I came here to ask why. Then they treat me like this."
She was really shocked lol.

I asked the underling that I wanted to cancel the membership now. I had to make sure this time that they were not going to charge me for terminating my membership lol. I read thoroughly when I signed the termination form this time. haha I walked out of the club.

I am gonna get his full name tomorrow and call HQ to file a complaint and explain the situation. This bitch said that he won't care what I do. I hope he doesn't mind me filing a complaint. I thought they were all about hiring professionals who deal with customers very effectively and nicely. I had really nothing to lose because I called HQ and they gave me free ride for next month's membership hehe. Then I'm done there. He had something to lose... it will show up on his record at lifetime HQ heh.

Be aware of sales associates!

Hi mom (Bull Run), I think members can post whatever especially it being under off-topic sub-forum. It's not your place to talk crap.
I must mention that we tend to spend more memory and server capacity for your bull crap reponses and posts than this Sleek bud's posts on here.

This has nothing to do with the point of this post, but it has everything to do with working out.
Get the book The Abs Diet.
It is by David Zinczenko.
It's got a diet plan in it, you can do that if yoiu want, I don't care for some of the foods in it.
It also has a workout routine that you can do in the comfort of your own home and each activity you do has the same results of using the machines at the gym.
I would say the routine lasts a good 30-45 minutes.
My dad started this thing about three weeks ago and he has a beer belly like a bitch and weighs at least 225 and he has lost like 18 pounds over the three weeks.
He still has a beer belly like a bitch, but a smaller bitch lol.
His progress got me started on the workout routine (I am not fat but some muscle mass could only help :D).

I'm surprised you didn't just beat his ass Sleek, what a little bitch. I can proudly say that I am a true red blooded American due to the fact, that I am skeptical about anything having to do with money. You should just get an ab lounge, I had one, although I never really used it to see a drastic change, but when I did use it really worked

Bud, I'm questioning your mental maturity now. Wow...

What.. are you a three yrs old? I'm amused and overwhelmed by your childish behaviors/ responses.

It seems that whenever you respond to a thread, it always takes different direction than what the thread was meant to discuss.
