maybe I cheese can answer this........or someone else
I've been working out and trying to push myself and have been making some improvements. Actually I've been working out for several years but have just started to push myself a little harder.
Recently I've started gettin this sharp pain in my right arm when I do incline bench presses at the beginning of my work our. I've just been pushing through it and it starts to go away slowly and by the end of the workout it doesn't bother me. Is this bad, I'm not sure what to do or if its ok.

sharp pain isn't good. the dull overall muscle soreness from killer workouts is.
Are you doing smith machine incline or free weights? Smith machine if you aren't at right angle, can put undo stress.
are you stretching tri's and warming up properly?
more detail for some better advice...

however soreness is not an indication of muscle growth. Connective tissue pain, rather than muscle soreness, is not great.

the best way to resolve it is to take a break from work out for a bit... I got some sharp pains before when i worked out 6 days a week and 4 hours a day. that was like 4hr times 6 so... 24 hours a week, i worked out hardcore.
I got lots sharp pains and had to stop workin out so hard to stop the pain.

he hasn't even responded, so why are you telling him what to do?

it's the deltoid on the side ...not the front or back...sorry i don't know the correct anatomical name. It's when I do incline barbell pressess. Also when I do the flat bench press i get the same pain but not as severe.
I do treadmill warm up and a couple of stretches....this just started like a week or two ago. It's pissing me off, cause i'm just starting to make some good gains in muscle growth.

if your warming up good and still getting it i gotta go with sleek and say take a bit of time off of that particular muscle... you can still work out other muscle groups or work on your cardio. muscles are great for attraction but cardio is great for your sexual performance :)

I actually have the same thing in my right arm. Luckily my left hand is broken, so I'm not tempted to try to lift anyway! Hopefully it goes away by the time I get this thing off.
