A realization from christmas past

This was a blog I wrote back in Jan. of 07 before I even found the community.
I found it today as I was cleaning up disk space on my laptop.... It's interesting, and I believe this very thought has fueled, not only my views inside the community, but how I view life in general, and how I wish to pursue the rest of it. I was enduring baby mama drama while this was being written, so I, at this point, had a very bad view in regards to women. I had a little hostility, but needless to say this is 100% myself. Enjoy.

When a man is faced with one of the most challenging tasks he has ever faced. Sometimes he quits, and sometimes he laughs because he knows that no matter what happens the only way he'll fail is if he just gives up. I'm laughing. Life is a game, and I intend to master it. People questioning other people, the very fabric of our society. People telling people what to think, how they should act, and what they should do when they are confronted with something challenging or something that they view as a "challenge". That, my friends is what I like to call, "Thinking inside the box." There is a set way to solve everything in the world that EVERYONE must adhere to for fear of being deemed wrong, or being called a disturbance, or quite possibly even a selfish maniacal, arrogant person. You are told that these set ways to live life are the way, the means, and reason for living. And that you are meant to do nothing more than, Go to school, graduate high school, go to college, find a girl/guy, get married and raise a family. Then once you have a family you HAVE, I mean just have to, have a job provide insurance from your job, eat certain foods, and drink certain liquids, and that you can’t do this and you can’t do that. It’s funny that a country founded on, at the times, unbridled rights and liberties has become such a governmentally controlled place to call home. I mean just the thought for most people reading this could quite possibly be something along the lines of, what a traitor, or he hates America, or what a annoyance. Thinking inside the box has never been a strong suit of mine. I refuse to believe something someone says just because they said it. The very religion (Christianity) that this country was founded on says to, “Test everything, and hold unto what is proven true.†And the fact that so many people follow a set way of doing things just because an “expert†or someone whom is “reliableâ€, or quite possibly even the government says to do something they jump, saying it’s “The end all, no arguing, this is how it must be done.†It’s ridiculous.
Whatever did we do as a country before we developed into a country who tried to tell others how they should govern, or before we tried to control every citizen’s life, with set ways doing things, by saying “This is the standard Gee, by the way I paint this picture it’s kinda starting to look like communism uh?
I’m starting to realize how this world operates. Life has a funny way of teaching you some really tough to swallow lessons. I presume, that God will settle my scores, and that he will continue to teach me the things I have not yet learned.
