Im just beat

For the last 3 weeks I've been working out and eating right and I must say, Im fkn wooped. In the defense of working out, I am starting to look rather tasty but shit, where's the energy? I heard somwhere that working out regular gives you more energy but it seems that all my energy is being used to keep woking out.

I should point out that never before have I worked out this hard or had such a healthy diet. Am I doing somthing wrong or is it just a ceiling I have to break through? Or is it just years of neglect on my part that Im going to have to overcome?

Im up to a mile a day 3 or 4 times a week depending on my schedule. Also Im trying to keep muscle confusion in play by switching up alot of routines. Its working. Im just dog ass tired. I cant wait to go to work so I can sit on my ass for 20 or more hours and rest.

Going to a gym or having a trainer is out of the question because I live in the stix. Also keeping a reglar work out routine is imposible because of work. Should I quit being a pussy or am I screwing somthing up?

how long are your lifting sessions? are they on same days as your cardio?

how quickly do you fall asleep, and then how long are you sleeping.

what is your current level of fitness? you can overtrain and get run down.

welcome to cutting. Eat most of your daily carbs in the morning...and they better be complex and fibrous. This is always a problem for me when cutting.

Just make sure you're not too far below your caloric maintenance level. Also look into carb cycling, which is the only way I can diet.

I wouldn't recommend changing your routine more frequently than a 4-week interval. I like to do a routine for 1 month, then invert that order for 2-weeks. That will shock you enough.

Sounds like you're overtraining or not eating enough. If you're trying to bulk up and not cut you might try eating larger portions to make sure you got more fuel in the tank. Also get sleep... I have been doing the same thing and notice all the going out I've been doing recently has left me pretty drained as well. Also I'm assuming you're talking about being physically tired and not muscle soreness. Muscle soreness is just part of it :) Fatigue is different.

Hmm, I like to run on the same days that I work out on. It just feels like a better workout when I do this. Is this bad? One without the other just leaves me feeling like I left alot on the table. Like I didnt do enough. I like to get a good sweat going.

The eating thing is somthing Im torn about. Im still stuck on getting bigger or getting lean. So for now Im just eating healthy and staying away from fried food, junk, sodas and so on.

Sleep, well I can sleep 7 straight hours and thats good for me. Before working out it could take up to an hour to get to sleep but now its about 10-15 min.

I would like to work out one time with one of the more experienced guys (work out wise not PU) to maybey get some in-field advice. If any of you cut bad asses need a spot monkey lemme know, maybey we can work somthing out.

I have a feeling it is because you are probably going out more than you ever have before. I know that is what drains me.

As for lifting the same day you run it depends on your goal. If your goal is weight loss, both are fine. If your goal is gaining muscle, you'll want to just lift. You can also run after you lift. If you're trying to max muscle you want to have as much energy as possible to get the best workout.

Going out and not getting enough sleep this week has definitely drained me for my workouts.

yes, its bad to expect to gain muscle mass when you're running, which is burning calories, and taking you to a catabolic state, when you want to be anabolic. Eat more or less. Once you learn your body more, we'll talk about staging your weekly diet and lifts, and I'll introduce you to carb cycling which you'll thank me for.
