Email cell phone alert

Can someone tell me how to get my phone to tell me when I have new email? I have a motorola Q. thanks

i use yahoo. hell dont even use a reall computer. this seems to take care of all my internet needs.

Well i'm guessing you have the email acct synced to your phone or no?

cant sync yahoo to a moto Q. Yahoo has instated new rules for email forwarding to phones, you have to buy a subscription from yahoo for 20 a year to do it. As for my qualifications to this point. I own cell phone stores.

Can't you set yahoo to forward to a gmail account then set up pop or imap for the gmail? I check both of my gmail accts from my Q

yes you definitely can. I get gmail and my work email on my 8125. i have a yahoo acct but i get to much spam on it now so i dont bother.

lol RIM and MOTOROLA ARE TWO DIFFERENT STORIES. There is email push and email pull. The two are totally different. Its not going to work on a moto q. Like I said its what I do for a living. I own the largest Service and Repair center for the State of OK and TX. I have the best techs and they all have the same answer. Its a no go
