Didn't know there was a name for that... I am definitely on a marriage strike (well once mine is officially over anyway lol). Sadly marriage these days is mostly about giving a woman your power and I'm not about that at all. Maybe I'm biased based on my personal experience ;) Every guy I personally know in a marriage tho is constantly bending to the wife's demands and the woman acts like if he doesn't, there's nothing worthwhile in the marriage for her and makes the guy pay. FUCK THAT.
Good luck on fighting those laws... I don't see them changing anytime soon first of all you won't get enough men to agree with you because most are whipped and wussies, and the women won't go for it... and we all know just because something makes logical sense or is more equal and equitable that doesn't mean it'll be made law.

You would be suprised actually. There are quite a number of prominent feminists that support our position. I find certain types (most) of feminists absolutely repulsive, but there is a catagory of feminist who truly want equality with men--I find these women irresistablly sexy.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camile_Paglia for example (I'd hit that)
Of course there are also men who betray us and work to support the whiney victum feminists--the ones that want to outlaw pornography because it violates the civil rights of women (ugh!) But my point is that there are women who I consider my intellectual allies in this struggle for equality (just like I support them in areas where women really do get screwed over). I think it boils down to wanting true equality--as is stated in the equal protection clause of the constitution. I really think that had the court reviewed the aformentioned case, they would have had to side with the man...how could they respond to the Equal Protection Clause arguement h ad they heard the case??
To me ( and to my feminist allies) it appears that most feminist and the trators who support them have wrecked marriage. Marriage in itself is not a bad thing. If two people love each other and they want to enter into an agreement of their own free will then that could be quite romantic. For example if I were to say to a girl:
WF: I realize that someday we might not be in love with each other, but you have made sacrfices in your career to add value to our relationship and I appericate that. I don't want you to worry about your economic future--I want you to feel safe and secure. I want you to be happy and free to leave should you ever become unhappy with me without worrying about where you are going to stay or how you will get food. And so to that end, I will agree to split X assets with you and pay you a stipend for X amount of time in the form of a legally binding contract. There could also be a provision about what to do if kids are in the picture.
That would be a beautiful, selfless, and quite romantic act. (of course I would expect the same thing from her) And I would be totally fine with this. However under the current system men are simply not treated as equals. It's so lobsided it isnt even funny. You would be an IDIOT to enter into a contract that has the same terms as a marriage contract in the world of business.....and yet many men do every damn day.
I think this is largely due to ignorance about how distorted marriage has become. In any case they are unneccasary. I believe I am more committed than most guys in a relationship with a girl I see as quality--this is because I realize there is tremendous value in maintaining a relationship that i have so much emotional equity invested in.....but at no point would I want the government to forcablly bind me to someone. I want to be free to leave if I finally do decide that is what I need to do.
Additionally once a girl has married you she's got you and may feel she doesnt need to work to maintain your interest///attraction. There have been numerous studies that clearly corralate women having shorter hair after they get married. This is due to the fact that it is easier and they do not feel the need to work to maintain their apperaance for their husband.....of course if you notice your wife starts growing her hair out, dressing n icer, and such, she's likely having an affair as they start to take care of themselves again when this happens.
But yes, we men could have so much power if we would just unite and refuse to allow certain women and men to pervert our legal system to be sexually biased.
