be warned...outside of Ratio, you're fucking with probably the smartest bastard on this board.

Don't take this personal Bull Run, but I never put much stock in people that feel the need to tell the world how good they are. If you have to tell everybody how good you are, you probably aren't that good. So why be so intimidated??? After all if you are as smart as you say you are, why feel insecure! You just made yourself look insecure is all. I thought you were smarter than that. Chill out dude, I know you're a sharp guy![/quote1223569479]

I guess irony is lost on some people. ;-) It was a joke my friend.

And, no one should ever lump me with some of the braggarts on this board. I keep my conquests to myself and tell it only to my friends, not everyone on a fucking internet board. If you want to talk about bragging, talk to those guys first.

Answer me this real world example!!!!

UncleHowie crashes his motorcycle, needs emergency surgery to put his hip back together. There is a high risk of blood loss to the hip socket which results in bones degenerating which could mean amputating a leg. Lets say pretend Uncle Howie has no insurance! So what the fuck is supposed to happen????? Should we just let him lay there in tremendous pain and suffer and die?????????????

Those 2 doctors that put me back together charged $160,000 to put my hip back together in a 3 hour surgery!!!! My entire wreck cost me over $200,000.

I never said that people that aren't insured won't be covered. Fact is that if the government would get their little fingers out of the health care system everyone would be able to afford insurance. Read my plan above...catastrophic insurance bro.

You want to debate? Fine. Bring some fucking facts. But, be warned...outside of Ratio, you're fucking with probably the smartest bastard on this board. So, fire away.

As the laws are written currently the doctors can not let you die if you present to the ER with an emergency. When you are brought into an ER in distress they are legally liable to stabilize you. Does that mean you would get the best treatment possible for the best aesthetic outcome? No. That just means they would leave you hemodynamically stable so that you don't bleed out.

Bullrun - Personal health spending accounts are very viable if you are young and without a pre-existing condition. I know many wealthy young adults who choose that route and acquire catastrophic insurance as well. However this would not be a very viable option for those with chronic medical problems or those over the age of 50. The laundry list of chronic meds most Americans take post 50 is astounding. If you really want to go this route you can also shop around for what is called a boutique physician who charges you a set fee and is always on call for you.

I personally am undecided about socialized healthcare. It would provide many Americans with the preventative medicine they would require however many of the health problems people face today are self imposed with diet and lifestyle choices that are easily correctable. However, very few actively put in the effort to change their lifestyles for the better. Also I am not looking forward to the inevitable paycut that will follow with socialized healthcare after all the effort spent to finish school without subsidies from the gov't.

Have you even seen Sicko?
[/quote1223601023]

I have no opinion I wish to share on this board regarding healthcare, politics, insurance availability, the economy, whether or not Bush is evil, or any other matters that are extensively complex and thus not worth anyone's time to try and type out a fully-balanced answer that takes every aspect into consideration.

BUT, I will say this:
Michael Moore is one of the most biased over-board sources of nonsense I've ever heard.

I am NOT saying that some of the OVERALL subject matter that he presents at times is invalid....again, I won't be discussing that on a message board.

What I AM saying is that he has a very bad problem with making his bias far too obvious in the points he tries to make...which is something one should not do when trying to make a credible documentary; Not to mention he has a tendency to exaggerate problems faaar beyond reality to help pass his bias as fact.

That said, I WILL NOT watch Sicko because I have zero respect for how he does what he does and I regard almost anything that comes out of his head as highly uncredible.

This is the last post I'll make on this subject.

i've actually read "Wealth of Nations" and have seen this movie.

The movie is about people who HAVE insurance and get denied coverage. His point is that insurance companies can take your monthly premiums year after year and then when you get sick and need an operation drop you and let you die.

He interviews people in the insurance industry who state that their bonuses are based on how many people they deny coverage for. One lady testified in congress that people died because she denied them coverage.

.........seriously there's no need to get mad or insulting towards people because they have different opinion. I'm just here 'cause I like big titties....and this thread is boring me.
