Never get married

Anything goes

Texas does offer spousal support under 10 years for a period of up to 3 years after the marriage for women who are considered disabled. My wife has fibromyalgia. Although she uses it as an excuse not to work, the main reason I'm not fighting her on it is

a) I want this resolved as quick as possible and without lawyers

b) I have personal businesses and right now she is not trying to get 50% of them like she could if it went to court so the spousal support for the next 3 years is my way of making sure that doesn't happen

c) she only has a GED and has limited income earning potential... and I do care about my daughter so the spousal support payments will help sure my daughter doesn't have to live like a poor person -- by the time the spousal support payments are gone, so will the child support and my daughter will be an adult so at that point I will be able to walk away knowing I did what I could (at least financially) to get them both on their feet

d) even tho my wife can be a hella bitch, she is not the one who wants the divorce.. I'm the one leaving her after 8 years. I don't feel guilty as far as my reasons, but there is a certain amount of guilt over just the situation that she is being put in.

e) I have the ability to make more with my businesses... and once the support payments are set and she can't get any more of my businesses because she's already passed up the chance on her ownership, I just need to focus on making a lot more money and then the support payments are irrelevant from a financial perspective :) And down the line it'll drive her nuts when she finds out I started making a lot more money AFTER we got divorced haha

If she does decide to fight it with a laywer, I'll definitely be fighting her on the spousal support and her ability to work. 90% of the time she's actually a reasonable and nice person... it's the 10% of the time she's a total fucking bitch that is the problem. Her family are a big part of a problem her parents are total assholes... she wouldn't have even consulted a lawyer if not for them pushing her to. Of course the lawyer came up with a totally high and unrealistic figure (duhhh -- he wants you to hire him)

oh yeah and try $2500/mo support... that's if she doesn't lawyer up the last one she talked to thought she should get $3800/mo (tho that's total BS)

What the fuck!? A bitch would rue the day she tried to use the legal process to extort ANY amount of money from me.

Personally I'm almost certain I will never get married, but if I were in a situation where a girl was trying to use the legal process to forcablly steal money from me, she would only end up hurting herself.

I really like what you wrote here: "i just hope she doesn't lawyer up because i'd hate to have to push the red button and go thermonuclear on her ass (quit my job, move back to austin with my parents, become a bum and fight her every inch of the way on spousal support)." This is exactly the view I have with regard to how or system is set up, and how women can unjustly steal from us the fruits of our labor. I would like to suggest a few other options you may want to consider.

You can tell her to go fuck herself, and let her go hire a lawyer and she does thinking she will get a j udgement that makes you cover her legal fees (WTF is that about seriously--our system is so damn fucked)....however, you can use this time and simply leave the juristition of the United States... and then she is *fucked* because she has no legal power over you what-so-ever. There are plenty of nations that would love to attract talented professionals...all over the world. New Zealand in particular comes to mind as they have an active program to recuirt forigeners to come and live in NZ. Imagine how sweet it wo uld be to move to a new exciting place, instantly becoming free of any and all obligations to someone who is trying to force a part of your future earnings from you.... And if you'd save over $3k a month, that would MORE than cover your flight expenses back to visit your friends and family :-) Also she gets stuck with paying her laywer for the work he has already done for her by the time she discovers it won't matter.

Obviously you are a skilled professional capable of producing, so you would do well in a career in another country--and there are lots of hot NZ/Aust/ European babes that love Americians.

I've actually been to NZ before... it's a cool place to be :) But support for both is only going to last 2-3 years, so it's not wort going to that length... and you would still be liable unless you moved there a LOOOOONG time. I'm about as far as I want to be away from Austin at the moment as my best friend and parents are there.

I'm working on just building my businesses up so that the money is not an issue for me. It's really the best revenge as well ;)

Could you set your business up so that it as a seperate entity makes money but you pay yourself a very tiny salary such that your income appears extemely low? I'm pretty sure your income is the biggest factor in deciding how much you have to pay, so if you can with enough legal manuvering make this appear tiny, you might be able to get off with very little.

she already knows pretty much how much I make from them if I tried to hide it she'd go lawyer up on me... it's really not a big deal I just want her OUT...

funny how in the beginning tho she was like 'i don't want your money if we ever broke up i wouldn't want it' blah blah blah don't believe'm guys!!! pre-nup -- nuff said. and if I ever do get married again there will definitely be one involved...

Update: She wants to be out of here by this time next month... it's just a matter of matter of making that happen financially unfortunately things have been tight this month. With any luck in a month or so I'll be back to practicing some game... we'll see.

I let a 30-year old I've been gaming buy me dinner last night. The sex has been insane. Well she started talking about marriage, so she's done. How can I possibly bang her now, knowing she's doing everything she can to make babies?

talking marriage so soon... big dating faux pas regardless of whether you're PUA or not. the unfortunate thing w/ the 30-something crowd is they realize they are getting close to their expiration date (baby making wise) ;)

I would say the way you could bang her now knowing that would be with a condom ;)

Are there women in their 30s who haven't been married and just want to have fun?? I can see the ones who've been married, had kids etc being over it... but if you've only been single and you're in your 30s as a female I doubt there are too many not looking to settle down with the right guy

I'd be leery of her. I've heard of women taking a used condom and impregnating herself with it
