The danger of "tomorrow."

The danger of "tomorrow."

I once heard a speaker say the most dangerous word we can use is the word "tomorrow." Tomorrow often means never for many people. I'll start saving more...tomorrow. I'll get in the gym, and eat right...tomorrow. I'll get the nerve to talk to that girl...tomorrow.

I was looking for something else and ran across an old business plan I put together with a friend a few years back(4-1-01). We were gonna hit it big, we were gonna make the big money...but we put it off until.... tomorrow. We put it off for seemingly good reasons, the stock market was falling..the economy was getting worse..bad time to launch a business....then 9-11-01 happened. We never got it beyond the design phase.

In The Game, Style says one of the things that made Mystery great was his insistance on "today, or now." That kinda hit home when I found the business plan of our defunct dream. My Dad once said of me "he often waits too long and good opprotunities pass him by." Ouch. That stung. He was right.

I'm now working on a busines plan, and talking to that girl....today. I heard from the band Live"all we have is now." They were right. I cant control tomorrow. All I can do is take the steps today, to help me to be ready for tomorrow.

"Dont stare up the steps, step up the stairs!........Go for it!"
