Dallas PUA

I'm looking for perhaps 5-10 motivated individuals who are interested in testing out some Improv Games and techniques for Pickup.

When: Friday, April 6th
Where: Don't yet have a location.
Does someone have a club house at their apartment?
Time: 7pm - 10ish
NightGame Location: Karma

These exercises will be done before we go out and do NightGame.

If you are having problems approaching or are shy to talk to women, this may be one way to get over issues with approach anxiety.

The basic rule of Improv: Do Not Talk Shop

No Theory. Anything goes.


The exercises I have involve Play - Playing as an adult... Getting out of your head, pumping up your state, getting you to think on your feet.

This stuff is so easy, its stupid...literally.

Other techniques will be inspired by NLP, David DeAngelo's Cocky Comedy, Body Language (The Definitive Guide to Body Language by Pease), The Mystery Method, Real Social Dynamics, Style's work.

So far, I have 32 Games.

Some are ripoffs, some are orignial. Others come from NLP. Some may suck. Others will have you ROFL.

Prep work:

Please know some openers and routines. Go to Bristollair http://www.bristollair.com for some of the common ones.
As we'll have you bust out a few of these.

The rest will be on-the-fly, environmental or just plain stupid.

(We'll be laughing with you hahaha!)

I'm also looking for feedback on what is good and what works. Its a totally new approach.

The idea is to get out of your head and then go out! Open sets and have fun.

awesome! if i can show up a late due to commitments i would like to join.

i was actually going to do improv class beginnning monday with brandon but decided to do NLP course instead this month and hope to do improv next month if he is holding a class.

Cancellation.

Sorry guys, due to lack of interest, this "event" is cancelled. Improv needs a small group in order to really work well.

Perhaps I'll try again sometime in the future or we can do a few Games at the next general meeting.

Do try to reschedule. I was interested, but I have my son this weekend. I hope it works out next time.

My friend in the Chicago lair said he has a group that gets together to do things like this. They're copletely silly and gay, but it gets them in a fun mood. One thing they do is take turns approaching the other guys, who pretend to be bitchy girls giving shit tests. The lone "man" has to plow through all their shit tests and insults. They also do other things like taking a night to go out sarging where nobody showers, combs his hair, or brushes his teeth that day, looking all grungy (he actually said he doesn't notice much difference in the results). Other times they just go out to see who can get blown out the worst or something like that.

The game is supposed to be fun.

I think we can do some of these at the General Meeting. I may even write down some of the Games and things we can do in the Bar/Club.

The idea of play is appealing to me.

The other thing I want to do is do this only for Dallas PUA. There seems to be more openness here.

26 and GoneSavage do this REALLY well. Read their FRs.

I just responded to a group that's planning on sarging in downtown Ft. Worth Friday night (4/6). HRaja is putting it together. Why don't we think about combining the two. I'm definitely interested. Who knows, maybe playing some of these games in public would be a great group opener.

Rock Paper Machine Gun
A game you can play in public is Rock, Paper, Machine Gun. It goes something like this...
Say you have a 2 set.

PUA: "Ok, wer'e gonna play a game called Rock, Paper, Machine Gun. Here's how it goes...
We do a count...1...2...4...ooops I mean 3. And on 3 we take the form of whatever weapon or object we like."
"And then we get a line judge to declare the winner in each contest."
"Ready..1...2...3"

So you get the idea.
