I don't know about the rest of you but I really enjoyed that talk from El Topo on Saturday. That was my first event to go to but I really liked his style. I hope he comes back around soon and I see more of him.

What did yall think of it On a scale from 1-10???

Uhmm I was there :)

I thought he was cool dude but I also gots to chill out with him at hooters before the show started.

I think he has alot to offer to the community and I agree with alot of his aspects of things and how the community and the directions things are going in regards to certain methodologies.

Not sure if I could put a number on it. His style is vastly different from the instructors I had at bootcamp. It was definitely refreshing for me to see something new. He's been there done that and seen what it's like from all angles. He's invaluable.

The "performance" looked totally natural, almost AFC in his delivery (don't kill me for saying it) though it was intentionally that way- like shy and hesitant but counterintuitive cause he was locked in and leaned back. Basically- REAL. Seems like there was some NLP mixed in there too. After listening to his speech and performance it's definitely gonna help my game. I kinda wished I did a bootcamp with Steve instead. It was bad timing for me.

Yeah we were there. We came in 5 minutes late...stood in the back. I think you were up front to the left, correct?

This is why I instantly had so much respect for the guy. I'm starting to get the feeling that a lot of pure method instructors are basically putting on a show. His delivery is more natural, there's more thought put in to powerful things like tonality, speech pattern, and faux-vulnerability. I think everyone here has much much more to learn from him than was displayed in this event. Don't want to put the cart before the horse, but I think this type of pickup is the future of the community.

Feel free to insert your, "Juggler has been saying it for years" comments now! :)

Yes I was in the front and on the left. Anyways, I think the dude definately puts alot of thought into it which is why he was able to think up a story for everyone's dilemna pretty much off the top of his head. He was very smooth with his whole presentation too...

No doubt Smirks. Another big part of it was the rythymn. It was almost uncomfortable and tense. At first it was a normal speed and then he slowed it down while framing it sexually. It's something I forget to do. When I first heard it, it seemed like he was stumbling through his routine but he just repeated back verbatim later. It was amazing. El Topo's name was blowing up everywhere on the TMM board. I can see why now.

A buddy of mine in Orlando freaked out when I told him ET gave us a little talk. "Dude I've been reading this blog for a while now. I'm fucking jealous."

I was standing directly infront of the water guarding it, but I left a we bit early.
