"Are you attached?"

My wing has been using this line when talking to girls.

He is not part of the community and does very direct approaches which work very, very well for him. One of the things he asks them is "Are you attached?"

It works for him.

Girls become indignant if they aren't ...."What!? No!" which leaves a nice opening for him.

And if they have a boyfriend but aren't happy in the relationship, they will usually answer "No" instead of getting into a discussion about the boyfriend

You know, I will use "Are you single?" a lot, but generally girls who open me and give lots of IOI's at campus, in the fine arts department, are taken and say they have a... seven year boyfriend or something. I have responded before with comments such as "You're not married yet?" and the like, but to no avail.

I've gotten numbers from girls who told me they had a boyfriend as well, but later on they are not interested.

Well don't you think you should stop asking that question then...

I have never once asked that question and shutter when I see guys ask that in field.

Are you attached sounds way better. It is certainly going direct though if that is his opening line.

Yea i find that if you really want to know if a girl is for sure single or not (I usually dont even ask) but if you do want to know a great way to do it without being like... Are you single and showing interest is to say something like . Oh well get your boyfriend to buy that for you. Or you need a drink! Get your boyfriend to buy you one. those are just examples but basically say they need to get their boyfriend to do something your not going to. Not only will this disqualify yourself, but you get your answer, and if they do have a boyfriend and are unhappy its very easy to find out with this, and its also kind of a boyfriend destroyer. works on a lot of levels. Not only that but if you are like get your boyfriend to buy you a drink or whatever and they are single they start to think like yea it would be cool if i had a boyfriend to get me drinks.

Edit**

I think this comes from the guys from pickuppodcast it is not my own but a great line like this is. "Your boyfriend doesn't spank you enough" not only is this completely good for building some sexual tension but she will usually reply that she doesn't have a boyfriend or something.

My wing doesn't normally open with that line but he likes to get to the point and if he can tell she is attracted, will ask that question.
