I work in an office environment, so anything drastic that cannot be removed is out.
I'm thinking about piercing my left ear and getting a chain ear cuff.
What do you think? Do you have any other ideas?

I like the second 1... I personally think the first 1 is too much with the dangling but the 3rd 1 might be better for the peacocking factor.
just in my opinion
I like the general idea though

Alright, first question is: who is your target. Second question is: what is the overall look that you want. The third question is: what body type are you, and the fourth question is: how does your body type match your desired look.
When I look at my style, I look at four things. Congruity, Originality, Unity, and Popularity.
Yeah, I just noticed that spells coup and yeah I like that.
Congruity is all about how you feel in the skin you put on. Clothing is a mask and if you can't be comfortable psychologically in that mask it will effect your game. This doesn't mean you have to stay away from certain styles. You just have to figure out how to make them yours.
When I was in the goth scene I had a girlfriend that wanted to go out country dancing. Well, a brush popper and a pair of wranglers just didn't work for me so I dug through my wardrobe and pulled out a black silk buttondown, my 3/4 length leather, my black leather jeans, and a pair of black cowboy boots. I bought a nice black cowboy hat that filled out the outfit. It was me, It was punk, and it was cowboy. I got complements on the cool outfit and hot girlfriend all night. I owned the look and that was what mattered.
I have been thinking of dying my hair black but whenever i pick up the blue black I want, I just can't pull the congruity together. If and when I decide to, It will be because it will be a look I want to have for a while. I just don't feel comfortable in that mask right now. That is also why I have no tattoos or piercings.
Originality is important for peacocking especially because If you look like everyone else, you fade into the noise of the venue. Had I gone out in a popper and wranglers, I would have blended in with the crowd. NOBODY was wearing leather so I stood out but since I had congruity, it was a positive. My overall look did fit in but it wasn't the norm.
Unity is all about your fashion items not clashing. Think about color, fabrics, textures and patterns. Don't wear colors that clash. Textures can clash too. Different velvets can clash as bad as different colors. For god's sake don't wear patterns if you can't figure out how to match them. Just go with solids. they are easier to work with.
Unity is also about combining styles. Don't wear Chuck Taylors with one of those santa fe pattern shirts it will give people whiplash. That doesn't mean you can't mix styles. The new Doctor Who wears a brown Pinstripe suit and white Chucks and It looks awesome.
Popularity is something to keep in mind when dressing up, it can be the opposite of originality but it doesn't have to be. I love my chucks, I wear them out a lot. I have different colors for different outfits and different looks. (Yes, I have a gray pinstripe suit that looks awesome with my white chucks). Chucks are popular in the underground scene. You see a lot of Emo's wearing chucks. It kinda gives me some street cred when I go out. I have gotten the most complements on my chucks of anything I wear. My hat and necklace are tied for second with my custom shirts pulling a tight third. If I was all emo'ed out people wouldn't notice but since I don't they get a lot of attention.
As far as accessories go, My hat and necklace are both peacocking items. My necklace cost me 2 bucks and my hat was a gift from family. I use my necklace as a lock in item and my hat makes me stand out in the crowd. I have a story behind both of them and when they get targeted, I can roll on the story to bring them in. I have a story for each of my clothing pieces so I can bring in a set on whatever they point out. I also have a black velvet blazer that works well as a peacocking item. It's very touch friendly.
So with that in mind, I have to ask the COUP questions.
Is it congruous for you? Is it something that will be part of you that you don't notice? Does it describe who you are?
Is it original. What about it makes you stand out from your crowd?
Does your look have unity with it? Does it match whatever else you are wearing?
Finally, is it a popular look? Is anyone wearing it? If so, Why? etc.
Now, finally to what i think of them. Congruity is up to you. Originality? I have only seen these on Star Trek since they got popular in the 80's. Unity? I haven't seen how you dress so I can't say. Popularity? Unless, I have missed something, they haven't made a comeback.
It would definitly stand out and if you can bring it in a look cool but, I would say look for something that is interesting but not so outlandish. Find an unusual Tee shirt or a cool necklace. Find a cool jacket or coat. Maybe some cool shoes. Glasses are good too. Find an unusual ring.
If you are just starting to put together a look for yourself, do some research. Look romance novel covers, womens magazines, chick flicks and such. Look for what advertisers are selling as the male romantic ideal. Don't look at mens fashion magazines. They are selling the mens male romantic ideal. Basically, anything that has men for a target audience should be avoided. You want to emulate what is being sold to women as a romantic ideal not what men are being sold to men as the female romantic ideal. They are two completely different things.
Now, remember these things. Jack Black is one of People Magazines sexiest men of the year. Dennis Franz (the guy from NYPD Blue) was the sexiest man of the year a few years back and Bill Clinton got a blowjob from a twenty year old in the OVAL OFFICE. What do these guys have in common? They are all ugly fat fucks who can get more young hot tail than we can shake a stick at.
That was a reality check for after you do the research and see all the airbrushed gay men in the womens magazines.
Now, look at your body type and pick a look that's popular and works for you. Once you have done this you can figure out what you can do to take it a step further with originality while keeping congruity and unity.
To think I was gonna just say, "Those look like the ear rings they wore on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, try something else."

I have dyslexia, so I didn’t read your whole post deucex. If I’m repeating, feel free to delete me.
The point of peacocking is to make it easy for chicks to talk to you. If you’re using a pregnant pause (to make her feel awkward) it's good to have something interesting for her to comment on. You don’t have to go over the top. An interesting bracelet will do.
