Hey,

Wanted to know if anyone had a special technique to open sets that are in an adjacent table. I feel that if I open a set in the wrong way, it will become awkward to sit in the same position. In other words, does anyone know the best way to start a conversation with someone next to you without being too weird?

Aww hell, this is easy. Instead of having a canned opener which may not come off as genuine, strike up a debate with the guys you are chilling with... Nothing politcal or religious, just something that is whimsicle, maybe relating to sex like "How often do you think girls fake it" or whatever... get the debate going then turn to the table next to you and say to the guys, projecting your voice, let's ask these chicks about this..... then get their opinion.

i've seen him do it, he's smooth. I've also seen him just walk up and say 'hello, i'm ...'
