But just for the sake of argument:

If a girl is an HB10 to me and she’s only an HB9 to you, which is right?
I had an epiphany just recently about rating systems. We’re not rating the girl’s psychical beauty but her social value. Let me give an example:

Take an HB6 dress her up, make it her birthday, and bring 50 of her friends. Her social value sky rockets and she’s going to act like a HB10. She may look like an HB6 but people will treat her like an HB10, so you better treat her that way too, or you risk being the socially awkward guy.

So how do we raise OUR social status to 10?

Authority and social proof my friends.

Authority

Definition:

1. Right to command: the right or power to enforce rules or give orders
2. Holder of power: somebody or something with official power
3. Power given to somebody: power to act on behalf of somebody else, or official permission to do something
4. Source of reliable information: a source of reliable information on a subject
5. Administrative body: an official body that is set up by a government to administer an area of activity (often used in the plural)
6. Justification: a statement that makes somebody believe something is true
7. Quality that is respected: the ability to gain the respect of other people and to influence or control what they do
8. Obvious knowledge and experience: knowledge, skill, or experience worthy of respect
9. Law source of precedent or principle: a law or legal decision that is cited as establishing a precedent or a principle
10. Legitimate power: a form of rule that is seen as legitimate

Social proof
Definition:

Social proof, also known as informational social influence, is a psychological phenomenon that occurs in ambiguous social situations when people are unable to determine the appropriate mode of behavior. Making the assumption that surrounding people possess more knowledge about the situation, they will deem the behavior of others as appropriate or better informed.

Let’s take the above HB6 situation and redefine it with our new knowledge of authority and social proof.

Ok so it’ her birthday, she has 50 friends there:

1. She has legitimate power: a form of rule that is seen as legitimate.
2. She has justification: a statement that makes somebody believe something is true.
3. She has the right to command: the right or power to enforce rules or give orders
4. and if she’s not usually the Alpha of the group she has Power given to somebody: power to act on behalf of somebody else, or official permission to do something

Then the 50 friends acting congruently; this develops social proof for her. Suddenly she’s the rock star because she’s bouncing back the expectations that others have of her.

Most of the really good PUAs that I’ve met have one thing in common. They can generate social proof through authority. Sometimes its entourage game, sometimes its pawning, sometimes its just forcing the venue to act congruently with your projected personality.

So to be the hot guy, demonstrate your authority to the whole room instead of just the set and you will be rewarded with social proof, sets will fly open (and sometimes open you) and you’ll be a HG10.

I personally believe it's simpler than that. I don't rate by social proof, because I normally have a HB pegged with her # on the scale without taking in her environment. I don't put much weight on the HB scaling...and it's mainly used for quick reference.

My wings and I have an understanding what type of girl is a 8.5 - 10 to me, and I have an understanding what a 8.5 - 10 is to them. It's not how each of us weigh a HB's social proof, its purely physical preference.

You can use the HB scale how you want, but that's how we use it. I'm sure you're just chomping at the bit to start a pissing contest over this, seeing that's the tone damn near every post you've made on this forum gives off. I think you'd find people more apt to respond positively to your posts, ideas, and methodologies if you wouldn't come off as such "a dick." I just wanted to point out, an observation that I made a while back about the HB rating scale.

Now this may or may not be prevelant but regardless.... it's one of my observations.

The rating scale for social standings is extremely flawed..... How can you possibly be able to tell what "rating" she is without talking to her first?

So, say youre standing with your fellow PUA's right? all holdin their beers near their chests... looking around at all the potential targets, not saying a damn word to one another other than, "check her out" or something else pick-up related, and then all of a sudden someone says.... "check out that 9."

How do you know, she is in fact a 9? Have you talked to her? I mean sure, her looks rating could be a 9, but I have talked to a couple of 9's that have SHITTY self esteem. Which would them place them ehhh around a 6 or 7 on the "social" scale. I frequently have to deal with a girl that is a 2 on the looks scale, but just because she's with hot friends it makes her a fucking 10 socially..... fucking cockblocks.... everyone of you out there worth their salt has delt with a fattie with a complex, ok. Don't tell me otherwise.

Anyway... I digress.

You actually have to talk to the girls before you can rate them is all I'm sayin. You can't give them a number, other than the looks scale... and by all means... continue, without talking to them first. Or at LEAST making eye contact.

There are like 2132134213432098423.88 types of scales out there.

I personally like the "I'd hit it" scale.

-I'd hit it once. (1 star)
-I'd hit it twice. (2 star)
-I'd hit it 3 times (3 star)
-I'd hit it 3 times.... and once in the morning. (4 star)
-I'd hit it 3 times.... and twice in the morning. (5 star)
-I'd hit it 3 times.... and twice in the morning.... and then I'd cook breakfast. (5 star +)

Thats my scale.... many people have heard me use it.... I don't know how many from the boards though... :-/ I lose count easily. Anyway. Usually I will only approach a "I'd hit it 3 times" and up..... NEVER a "I'd let her blow me." This is based purely off looks too. I reserve the right to knock them down lower as I deem necessary.

I just got freaking lambasted for sharing my ideas with the community.

If the words that come out of my mouth offend you, ask me, I'm very amicable. I mean to offend no one. I'm just sharing my ideas in a manner that I communicate, perhaps I'm not as personable in writing, but as for my methodologies, i have spent a great deal of time working out the logistics and patterns in the behavior. I don't mean to rock the boat.

Perhaps all my posts should be prefaced with "in my opinion"

That being said I don't want this thread to turn into a let's get the new guy kind of thing. I was pissed at 101998's post which I felt was totally irrelevant to he topic at hand. I should have just let it lay.

The post is about creating social proof in a venue. It's not about my inner game, it's not about how I see myself, it's about making and managing the meaning of outer game, how we create the illusion to others that you are the scarce resource in the club.

Let's go back to that HB6, do you neg her? How many times? What is the perceived value she has in her own mind? I'd treat her like a HB10.

It's cool man. No worries. I understand how you view the topic, and I can understand how the guy w/ the numbers as a name views it too. I also see that strong personalities can clash...even in text form on a forum. I just tend to try to mediate when I see it before it turns in to a flame war.

My point in the original topic is that I don't take personality or her social proof or the fact that her vagina spews $100 bills in to account in my HB rating. It's just quick glance...physical rating. It can be used for quick cold reads...to show what I mean I'm gonna skim through hotornot.com and pic two chicks to use as an example. Hold on a sec....
