Storytelling Event

Alright guys, I am posting this as a median to help as many people as possible.

This is the general idea of what I am about to get into detail about.

Objective: To create a personal relationship with individuals in the PU community and help guide their story telling skills and abilities.

I want to create an actual structure and a group to get together and trade advice for improving the stories we normally tell. The group would meet in person.

The great thing about this is, EVEN IF YOU ARE NEW, you can contribute to the critisizm of a story and give your opinion of how to make it more interesting and exciting, maybe not so much on tailoring it to a specific function like, attraction, seduction, etc.. but you can at least give your input on what would make it funnier, more exciting, why you were bored with it and so on.

I know we can trade stories online but, the group would allow us to work on the delivery which is 20 times more important than the material, I think.

So, let me know how many people support this and would participate, and I will work on and get some form of meeting together.

Actually I'm going to work on this regardless, I just need to know what type of venue I need.

I'm down this is something I feel that I really need to work on. My problem is getting people all excited and then forgetting to wrap up the story in a meaninful way. Just hold it in some sort of more relaxed atmosphere, a park maybe?

Alright guys, we'll go ahead and schedule this first one for this Sunday.

Anyone can attend, if we get more than 6 we'll just split into smaller groups for time reasons, and switch to allow the most critique.

Be sure to have a couple stories you can tell on hand. New stories old stories, it doesn't matter.

Guys remember everything that people will say is an opinion, so don't take the critiques personally. After all that is why we are having this session.

WHEN:
1:00pm Sunday, Jan 13th, 2008

WHERE:
Starbucks (North of the Galleria on Alpha Rd., near Noel)
5223 Alpha Road
Dallas, TX 75240

Btw, could a mod post this as an event please?

;) I know uh ... I have to get up 2 hours earlier.

I would recommend having a couple stories already picked out that you can tell for critique. If not the first half will be creating a story or 2.

I figured the starbucks by the galleria since there is an outside spot. Afterwards we could always go to the galleria and try them out. I want to have it at a park but a) I dont know of any parks besides the one at the village b) starbucks has in doors and outdoors. and c) even if we were to meet at the village park I havent staked a place out yet.
