There are many tools in a PUA's tool belt that allow him to achieve his goals. One of the greatest tools often times go unused, the pivot. There are many advantages to the use of a pivot, versus the use of a wingman. I find it perferable to have both infield. I've recieved questions from fellow PUA's over time concerning this topic. What qualities should I look for in a potential pivot? How do I approach a woman about becoming a pivot? Once I acquire a pivot, how do I train her? All of these questions were funny to me at the time, until I realized how many PUA's do not use pivots. All of this info is from my own personal experience and does not reflect the views of anyone else. so let's begin...
What qualities should I look for in a potential pivot?
You want to find a woman who is socially well adjusted, open minded, knowledgable, goal oriented. She needs to be at least an 8 on the 10 point scale. If she is bisexual, that's a big plus. It is more fun if you and her are after the same thing. Why is this important? Because she should be a female that gets peoples attention, and then her other qualities can take over, holding their attention. Thus allowing you to work your magic.
How do I approach a woman about becoming a pivot?
This was my particular rough patch in my learning experience. Asking a woman to be my pivot meant exposing myself, not in a bad way, but it meant I had to drop my guard and almost become vulnerable. Every woman that I have converted to a pivot has been in my bed at one point. That is the key in my opinion. Choosing a woman that you have had sex with, and have developed a friendship with afterwards. Introduce her to the community. Show her what the method behind the madness is all about. Once she feels comfortable with the PUA community in general, asking her isn't that big of a deal. The fact that you have been involved with her intimatly, will make that chemistry evident infield.
Once I have a pivot, how do I train her?
The same way you trained yourself....approach, approach, approach. The more sets you run through together, the better. I don't consider it training, perhaps a better word would be conditioning. Wingmen should already have a wealth of knowledge, they just have to adjust to your style. Pivots on the other hand, have to start from scratch. Have her read Mystery Method. Work on jealously plotlines. The bulk of conditioning is going to be trial an error. Believe me, your going to love the results from the time and effort you put in.
The damage you can do to a bar or club with 2 wings and 2 pivots is beautiful. It is social proof wrapped up in a nice little bow. You will already have your own set that is attractive and fun to be around. Don't be surprised if women open you. The real fun is your advanced capability to merge set forward and backward. I hope this helps, and I want to hear feedback on this.
