a guy pulled this on my friend this weekend and she didnt even realize what he did to her

basicly they were out drinking and the guy said call my phone i have a cool (or funny, cant remember which but it doesnt matter) ringtone... and she did... so now he has her number and she has his without either party really asking for it

pretty slick

Slick yes, but he better do something more than a cheap trick to ensure she wants him to call, or he's just taking up memory on his phone.

Ive gotten a # like that before but in my case the HB and I both had the same phone and she was checkin her msg's so I propped next to her and said nice phone, then pulled out my phone...then from there I pretty much got her # on my phone and and mine on her's...Although that method isn't effective w/o any other tactics it does work, I guess...

I think, though, while you do need to know at what point you've scored the number, and know how to escalate via phone text game, it's important to know how to get that number smoothly so that it feels natural and doesn't become an awkward moment.

Definitely searching for a piece of paper and something to write with is outdated. Business cards are too... well, businessish in my opinion, and they just get lost. You gotta do it in a smooth way so that it flows with the interaction and there's not a whole lot of time for her to hesitate.

When you manage to get each other's numbers in your phone, you can, at the very least, text her with the classic, "Which Diana is this?"

i like style's number close

take a piece of paper, rip it in half and write your number on it, without asking the girl for hers hand her the blank half and a pen... then ask her to draw a picture of herself on it so you will remember what she looks like
